there are 2 version.. 8GB comes with OS.. thats y the price a bit high..
free DOS.. u install OS ownself.. but dont worry.. there will b given a dvd driver for u to install all driver and application. 4gb ram.. is enuf at the moment. if u need more. u can buy another 4gb.. which is not that expensive.. but at least that time, u hv monies to buy extra ram.. nod.gif

Hi guys,
1. Preferred Brand : any
2. Budget : RM3k and lower
3. Usage : Work + Gaming(not really demanding games)
4. Preferred laptop/screen size : 15 inch

really need a workhorse laptop for work mostly but with a decent graphic card no need cutting edge. I like the y410p spec very much but my only gripe is the 14inch screen. Similar spec with 15.6 FHD screen woulde be awesome.

thank you all for your hard work...really helpful.

even its i5.. buts its the GPU is more or less with lenovo y410p.

Dell sales after service very good. if u have problem with ur notebook... and don't have transport to send to shop. u call the service center ask for help.. and the technician will come to ur place.. but depend with location la...

I have reviewed and compare these laptops;

Researched:
MSI-CX61-2PF-1402MY                            --------------- (Really basic for job only, CPU performance only)
MSI GP60 2PE-670MY Leopard                  --------------- (much people said it is not worth)
ASUS A550JK DM138                                --------------- (many recommend this, is it c/w GTX850 DDR5??)
Dell Inspiron 14 7447HD-71814G-DOS      --------------- (prefer this)
Dell Inspiron 14 7447HD-71814G-W8
Asus G551JM-DM052H                              --------------- (would work for extra money.. lol)
AFTERSHOCK M-15 Basic                          --------------- (look like Asus G551JM is better deal, but dunno...)
ACER ASPIRE V NITRO                              --------------- (don't have ODD & worry about warranty, battery life - 3 cells only?)

Specs;
Purpose: For Solidworks (Engineering 3D design software, Mathlab Advance Math Computing Software, Software Programming), Browsing Internet on battery.
Budget: 2500 - 3300
Screen: 14 or 15" only

Other preferences;;

GPU: Any better, GT840 DDR3? GTX850 DDR5?
OS: Prefer DOS or W8.1 only
RAM: 8 GB or 4 GB w/ extra slot/removable slot

Battery: Longest, 6 cell 4400 mAh or upper
Touch Pad: the best
Fan: Internal Cool and cool at hand palm

Warranty: On-site / The best hardware build / easy to carry in

or WORTH to WAIT till Q2 2015? I can wait until Q2 only... huhu
