deadlift can affect your body if you didn't perform the exercise in correct way or else you can say goodbye to your gains

i injured my lower back during deadlift. i replace with romanian and stiff leg deadlift for 2-3 months. now im back with regular one.

just rest for a while, go for light weight and correct the form than should be okey.

havent use belt after 2 years deadlifting.

I think i recall -Dan saying he suffered a back injury from deadlifts.. maybe he can chime in.

Best advice is to start light and video tape yourself. For beginners, always always maintain a straight back (starting, middle, and end of the lift).

Seek medical attention if it hurts. Deadlifts are known the give hernias, torn muscles, and other injuries.

I got snapped when after i deadlift, i went to do a sumo deadlift. 2 days before that, i did leg exercises hence my leg hasnt recovered from DOMS effect.

Snapped in January, recover just recently. So its about 7 months in total.

Tried it back last monday and i dont get any back 'pinch' at this moment.
