It will be difficult to challenge for the league, but for me, if they can win and avoid home game humiliations like last season, it would certainly put United at better place in the table.

Still no news. Expect to see lots of "in the next 48 hours" guessing in the twitterland today.

Vidal has 936 medicals by now already. Di Maria playing yoyo. Rojo becomes spoilt child. Blind become really blind, not sure where to go.

Without taking account some of their "Judas-ism", all of them were very good players. Veron just unlucky he arrived when the midfield of United were at their very best in recent years. No place for him to play frequently at his best positions. Even Scholesy suffered in form playing behind RvN.

Now, the midfield is at its weakest I think, adding ADM and MR would be beneficial and would add more that Spanish speaking contingent in the squad already.

Veron was hardly lousy but certainly didn't fit into SAF's system. Heinze was a very good LB (defending side rather than offensive). Either way, watching the space for new Reds.

That's why I think United shouldn't buy just for the sake of buying. Sahin was so gooding at Dortmund, Real bought him on a cheap but didn't play well there.
