Hey guys I always been buying Gameaxis magazine as for my gaming news and updates.
But if not mistaken I think Gameaxis has stopped writing or bankrupted ??
Is there any other good magazines out there ?? PC Gamer is rather lousy though , ironically Im specifically looking for PC games only magazine instead of mix like Gameaxis

How about reading it online? Then you can check all the news for free, without using any money.

If you want paper based magazines and have an tablet, try PC Powerplay.

PCPP is pretty damn good. Honest reviews and some pretty decent coverage.

But Online I not sure what will I specifically be looking for , sometimes I miss smaller things online like when I only found them out on magazines.

Another problem is , online sometimes has way tooo much " junk " meaning things I might not be interested in...so kinda makes me lose track on stuffs. Hard to explain...but I'ts just my preference.

I don't own a smartphone nor tablet. Im a shut in , so I use PC most the time I won't need those kind of stuffs.
Besides If I dump load of cash on my PC , why I even buy those kind of things , which I only be using them when Im outdoors. Also if I dump load of cash on my PC , why would I even be outdoors , that's definitely wasting money how people claim that dumping money on PC.

If you gonna be so picky, then, there isnt much I can help you as i think the only decent and fair publication these days is PCPP.

Tablets and smart phones has its own usefulness and they arent just meant to be used outdoors. I have both which I find them useful in different occasion so if you like to sit on your high horse, then, it is up to you then. And it is unbelievable that you can survive these days without a smart phone.

Even an overpriced iPad will last you years while a lot of Android based tablet are reasonably priced to begin. Tablets are amazing for reading in general while certain genre of games works amazingly on it than PC. You wont be able to find printed copies of PCPP in Malaysia.

LoL , everyone told me that and asked me the same thing

" Dude how you even survive without a smartphone these days "

Well , I can , but without my PC for just one day I definitely go mad....so I asked them the same thing how you even
withstand a day without a high end PC or even play simple games on the smartphone / table for days and hours.

But really like I said, what am I gonna do with a smartphone ? Monday to Saturday , I work from 8:30 to 5:00, right after work , I go straight back home, so I have my PC. On Sundays I stay home , since like I said Im a Shut In.
What people calls " Otaku " maybe you will understand it as in Japanese.
If you say you can't survive in this century without a Cell Phone , I truly agree..but Smartphone no way....

Different people have different taste dude , don't judge. Im not " Mainstream " but Im happy.
But I've guess my luck is out for finding another game magazine on Malaysia. But Tks for the help.

Smart phones and tablets arent just for simple games as there are tonnes of quality PC games are being ported there. It is not just a crappy F2P machine while, as i said, it is a great device for ebooks reading and web browsing. If you are going to be a hermit and closed minded, then so be it but having a smart phone or tablet isnt really mainstream these days due to variety of uses. It can be necessity these days as I rely it as a news reader because it does a far better job than a PC.

You aint gonna find another reasonably priced physical gaming magazine in Malaysia.

just get pdf version of the magazine and browse it on your PC. Save the money and more then 60% of the pages are of no interest to you anyway if u r reading like i did.

Dont really see why reading gameaXis is worth it unless you dont want to miss out on any mmorpg that is happening in asia scene but mmofront.com are faster then them.

Well, i enjoy reading a lot of pc gaming mags last time and believe nothing can replace the physical feel of it be it tablet or whatever. I was so wrong! ipad is awsome

Least someone knows how I feel.
You do meant by PC PowerPlay magazine then ?

Just for the record , I might be a total PC Nerd, and literally almost spend my life on PC.
But even when comes to reading Novels etc , I still prefer Physical Paper Books over reading them through the monitor / ipad etc.

Who knows , maybe 10 - 20 Years from now , I will have to. I doubt Paper will last forever in this world.

I love myself some new book smell but the local gaming mag are just...bad. I guess you can buy imported gaming mag but those are pretty expensive. And I personally prefer PC Gamer MY over GameAxis for writing quality although I can't seem to find any of them now.

no surprise really.

i used to collect gameaxis back in the day but i stopped buying like 4-5 years back since they decided to fill the magazine with animes, advertisements and other stuffs which are not related to gaming whatsoever. i preferred reading pc gamer but the malaysian version has stopped its publication some few years back. now i'm just subscribing the e-book version of pc gamer which i can just read via smartphone. to TS, i don't think there is any local quality multiplatform gaming magazine these days..you're better off buying US gaming mags like game informer or egm which you can find at mph or kinokuniya. those mags are expensive, but you can save money subscribing to the e-book version.

Im able to find PC Gamer , but I think it's no longer Malaysia. I think it's imported if not mistaken.
You can find them at MPH Bookstores too , they about RM 30++ If not mistaken.....way too expensive.....
There are few other ones too I saw, also with ludacris price....

But PC Gamer is rather " thin " there are some good news and updates in them sometimes. But just too little for my expectation.

I guess I just have to stick with Online Newsletters instead.

Since internet became popular these days, people won't be bothered to spend money on magazines.

I kind of missed PC Gamer and Gamer Axis as well.

I guess it's due to many E-catalogs around.

I still do as some magazines does extremely cheap digital subscription while a lot of magazines are transitioning to digital publications.

Tempted to subscribe Maximum PC from Zinio as i'll be paying 0.85USD per issue.
