Used my Signature card for 2 entries to Premier Lounge at Kuching airport this week.
The worst lounge I have been to. Small place, very limited food, unfriendly staff, etc. Cannot imagine other people paying money to use it. I will still use it for coffee and some simple food. FOC mah. Hope that it will improve, |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Jun 15 2015, 11:51 AM) depending on your spending pattern.. Interesting.sometime high CL very useful when the bank have promotion for 0% balance transfer.. then u can balance transfer from other bank cc, then keep the money in short term FD to earn some interest I have been wondering how beneficial is this BT thing. Mind explaining with a simple numeric example? Thanks. |

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Jun 27 2015, 04:42 PM) Soon the 5% CB from MBB 2card Amex will be taken away, i need to apply new cards. Thinking to apply this card and supp 2 cards to my kids, and use it on grocery to get 5%CB max RM88 pm. So wanna ask those who know this card, If you set a separate credit limit to your supp cards, would the supp cards usage on grocery be included to calculate the 5%CB? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- reason i asked is i found out the hard way for PBB VS supp cards, , you set separate CL for supp card holders, their card usage not entitled for the 6% cash back at all. So time for me to look for another card. Ha. If you know of a good one, let me know. Thanks. |

QUOTE(guy3288 @ Jun 28 2015, 12:28 PM) what i know is: Noted and thanks!the must have : 1)WIse card - good for many things, grocery, utilities, petrol etc, you apply for spouse also, monthly can get RM100 x 2. 2) Watami - 3% CB, minimal spend RM3000 per quarter, max CB RM150 per Q. Others: 1)UOB CB - 1- 5%, got cap got quota, me not planning to use yet, kind of complicated, ?CB not guaranteed. 2)MBB Ikhwan - 5% CB petrol grocery, RM 50 pm, good but only for Fri And Sat, not for me. Another must have: 1)PBB VS - 6% CB max RM60 pm. superb can pay bills online, get 6%. 2)MBB VS - 5% CB grocery and petrol max RM88 pm, and free lounge at airport. Want more 0%BT, get this: 1)MBF Card 2)Citibank card They regularly offer me 0% BT . Extra: AIA insurance- use PBB AIA card - 2%CB, max RM500 pa. sorry my mistake. edited above |

QUOTE(iVW @ Jun 29 2015, 03:26 PM) No way keeping so much cards just because of the PPL access. It's an extra for me BTW. My aim is on the travel insurance indeed. Covered up to 2m so I saved from buying travel insurance separately. My 2 cents. Read the insurance section of your card booklet to check the coverage, make sure they cover what you want. The missed flight coverage may not be applicable for domestic flights. Cheerio. |

Just got a letter from MB stating I can now get 5 free visits to the Plaza Lounges in M'sia per year.
But now I don't travel that much. Pity. |

My son will be going to another place for his A level study. Thinking of giving him a VS sup card. Appreciate your view especially for those who have given their kids sup card, the do's and don'ts.
They allow sup card for kids 18 or above, right? And no charge? Thanks. |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Feb 4 2016, 01:27 PM) yes..above 18years can have supplementary card.. Thanks.you can have up to 4 supplementary card for free.. advise you set the credit limit so son wouldn't over spend.. set SMS transaction alert to RM1 so every transaction he making, you are aware of.. How to set SMS alert? I get alerts when my wife's shopping when the amount is bigger than usual but I have set any trigger. Just tell the bank staff when i apply for the sup card? P/S VS or M2C is better for my son's case? This post has been edited by plumberly: Feb 4 2016, 01:39 PM |

QUOTE(maskedchan @ Feb 4 2016, 01:51 PM) just call the bank and ask them to set all SMS transaction alert to RM1.. Thanks.any transaction on all the card above RM1, you will receive the SMS.. that way you know where they shop or buy.. i not sure which one better for you... does your son study oversea? if yes then choose which card offer better exchange rate.. I should really check what i wrote before sending it! Noted some errors. I get alerts from my wife's shopping when the amount is bigger than usual but I have not set any trigger. Currently the alert SMS is free. So good tool to use. Still in Msia for the time being. Later? Don't know. |
