asked the girl at the Gardens Maybank card centre today. Apparently the new visa signature card cannot be approved within 1 hour upon application submission. They will send to HQ to process

Sent the application form last Tuesday evening, received acknowledgement email on Wednesday, and saw the card being approved and appeared on maybank2u today awaiting activation smile.gif

the AF can be waived if you can fully utilise the card, ie. paying for everything such as insurance, flight ticket etc

Buying groceries at AEON Supermarket cannot get 5% rebate. Maybe can get 5% rebate using their visa paywave. I have to use my mb2kard amex to get the 5% rebate over weekend
