Applied mine on Monday in KLCC, just received a text from MBB that the card is approved.

The timing of the card came just right since I've a few business trips coming up next month, time to collect the fat points.

Other than income requirement, the alternative way to apply for Maybank Visa Infinite or Premier cards is through pledging fixed deposits of RM30,000 and for existing Maybank credit card holder, just use the formula of RM30,000 minus your existing credit limit, the remaining balances would be the amount required to pledge in fixed deposit.

I got the above informations from one of the Head of Maybank Credit Card Centre and it's also stated in LYN's Maybank 2 Cards Premier thread by some forumers.  wink.gif

current signature CL is 25k, so all i need is to deposit the remaining 5k to get the premier cards? sounds too good to be true, i wouldnt mind having those cards considering the perks that come with it, although im not a believer of FD...

Yup, open up a 5k FD if you only want to meet the minimum requirement or you could more.  smile.gif

I could also direct you to the Maybank Card Centre staff who assisted my Premier Cards application to assist you if you want to.

My purpose is just to help both the staff and the Manager of the Card Centre as they had done some favor for me so just thought of helping them in return as well.  wink.gif

thanks ! will contact you once i have a clearer picture on how the GST will affect us consumers who hold multiple credit cards smile.gif

just received the same notification, 12.12pm

goodbye Visa Signature, although I've met the waiver conditions on the spending amount, I will be waving goodbye to this card.

Can't accumulate easily the points
Can't enter Airport Lounge

Only good thing is rebate, which can be met by other cards.

have you been using the card actively before that?
*
yea, quite active, and spent quite a lot, but not enough to reach the AF waive target

i even spent for 2-3 more transactions after they charged me the AF, which caught me by surprise cause i didn't know exactly when is my anniversary

luckily they are kind enough to return the AF

You must be be in Maybank's HNWI list to get the Annual Fee waived... I do hope to get it waive... but probably gonna cancel it.

QUOTE(terence_say @ Jun 21 2016, 07:09 PM)
You are the fist member to reported successful annual fees waiver with less than 50k spending.

You must at least a premier wealth customer or you spend super huge amount on other Maybank credit card.
*
They didn't waive. They reversed the AF.

Be prepared to lose ur card if u want it to be reversed.

Waive & reverse is the same thing. You don't need to pay annual fee after all.
*
Nope

Waive - no AF charged coz u met the criteria
Reverse - AF charged but a req to reverse it was made and lose ownership of this card.
