Maybank's credit card service is incredible. Took them merely 3 days and I collected my VS.

Ambank's credit card service however, 4th week and still no news.

Where did u apply, agent, MBB branch or 1Card Centre? Free annual fees but have to pay GST right?

1Utama Card Centre. With some follow up, I collected my card at Menara Maybank on the 3rd morning because I was going overseas that afternoon. When I applied for my MBB2Plat last time in 1Utama, it was a very fast service too. Just make sure you have all relevant documents. Forget about agents and branches, go straight to the card centres.

Annual fees are waived for first year which is quite standard for most cards if they are not Free For Life. And for GST, I am pretty sure you will be charged the moment your card is approved.

This is a great card, but like mentioned above, I will not be spending RM50k on this card due to most purchases and payments being done on my MBB2cards.

For me, even though the 5% rebate is good, this card failed the moment PPL access was suddenly revised to 5 times a year. So all this reduction in spending and income requirements is very much justified.

My Annual fee was charged and waived on the same bill. Okay to keep this card for another year despite all the reduced benefits. PPL access served me well up till they stopped it and also happy to see my rebates max out almost every month on petrol and groceries.

I definitely met their spending requirement but I doubt I can meet it again this year as I am spreading my spending over a few other cards now.
