For those who are following my case on the annual fee date, I emerge victorious. My annual fee will only be charged on Feb 2017 which is consistent with what some of you have reported and same answer as the FB reply. No such thing as fee proportioning claimed by the customer service.

Based on the expiry month stated on the card but if it is less than a year since approval date, it will be charged on next year's cycle.

That one is tricky because not sure how they consider the per annum period in calculating the 50k.

Actually I would suggest everyone who didnt meet the 50k to try to ask for waiver citing the removal of PPL.

If the place is not on the list posted above, you would need to try out and then call CS to ask for the MCC Code.

I am keeping until my AF is due next year. Might come handy when i need it. After that might upgrade to VI is they havent strip it bare yet. Maybank cards are under siege from the management it seema.
