Here’s the story for Arshad Imanshah Bin Antashah, the son of Antashah Mohd Nor and Norhafidzah Safri also a little brother to Rania Imelda Binti Antashah

Born on 25 March 2013 weight at 2.67kg in University Malaya Medical Centre.

Day 3 of life, Arshad had been diagnose for jaundice.. normal for babies as he was also a premature baby that was born at 35weeks. After 30 days, he was still with jaundice and doctor advise as a prolonged jaundice that willl disolve by 3 months or earlier.

Days goes by, he was still jaundice at day 40 of life. With numerous followup to the hospitals, an ultrasound was scheduled to confirm that all is normal and he is just having prolonged jaundice. However, something else was discovered. His bilirubin – count for jaundice was still high and from the ultrasound, the gallblader was too small. This caused the bilirubin was not been process directly to his intestine that caused jaundice, swallon at his right of his stomach which is the liver.He has been diagnose as Biliary Atresia stage 3 and the solution for this will be a Kasai procedure. Kasai operation has been scheduled on 6 June 2013 at the age 2 and a half months.

Recently checkup and hospitalization, at the age 13months his liver condition has not been improving much and special infant milks and care is needed for him. Specialist team from University Malaya Medical Centre has refered Arshad to NUH Singapore and a liver transplant is needed as soon as possible.

As Arshad parents, we would want to give the best for him and we would like to seek your kindness in donating any amount for us to have the liver transplant. Here's the estimate cost breakdown after been briefed by the transplant coordinator in Singapore.

Below are the liver transplant cost given by the NUHS:
Liver assesment before transplant: 15-20k Sing dolar
Liver transplant: 200k Sing dolar
Followup post transplant: 2k Sing dolar
As at now, the donor for liver will be Arshad's daddy.

Reason being that a lot of us in MNCs are able to get our companies to chip in as long as the fund goes to a recognizable body instead of personal accounts. Else, it's almost impossible to convince the HR that this is valid.

1 of the good example was for Elynna Cheah (https://www.facebook.com/mybafighterelynna) who suffered from similar issue. All donations to her went to China Press which lends a lot of credibility when it comes to getting donations pouring in.

Bro just my suggestion. No need to put the games as giveaway la. It's awkward. If people want to help, they will help without any other intention.

Petang semalam arshad melalui satu lagi ujian getir dalam hidupnya.. dia dimasukkan ke hospital kerana terdapat bengkak di bahagian atas punggungnya... arshad telah membuat ultrasound utk mengetahui apakah punca berlakunya bengkak tersebut..

Namun, keputusan ultrasound kurang jelas dan pakar mencadangkan arshad harus dibuat pemeriksaan MRI. Jam 11 malam semalam arshad dihantar ke bahagian MRI utk discan..

Jam 3 pagi baru selesai MRI. Doktor memaklumkan berita yang amat berat dan sukar untuk kami sekeluarga menerimanya.. hasil dari MRI menunjukkan bahawa saraf tunjang arshad terdapat nanah yang serius dari bahagian atas saraf tunjangnya hingga terkumpul di bahagian bawah.. ini berpunca dari jangkitan kuman dan hanya diketahui dgn berlakunya bengkak pada bahagian bawah belakangnya..

Sekarang arshad berada di PICU untuk rawatan selanjutnya.. doakan yang terbaik untuk arshad.. Hanya Allah sahaja yang tahu perasaan kami ketika ini.. sekian dulu perkembangan arshad.. semoga Allah melindungi Arshad Imanshah.. Amin...

"‎Kami minta Arshad discharged..‎Sebab kalau hendak teruskan dengan pembedahan kecil, risiko nyawa dia sangat tinggi.

"‎Sebab doktor risau hati Arshad yang sudah dianggarkan tinggal 20 peratus sahaja dan tidak mampu menahan bius pembedahan," jelasnya.

Bagaimanapun jelas Antashah, doktor juga tidak menolak sekiranya mereka mahu meneruskan dengan pembedahan.

"Doktor kata jika hendak teruskan dengan pembedahan itu..potongan kecil akan dibuat di bahagian tengah tulang belakang Arshad.

‎"Doktor akan ambil contoh nanah atau darah beku di sekitar tulang belakang dia," katanya.

‎Tambahnya, sampel itu akan dibawa ke makmal untuk dianalisis untuk mengetahui ubat antibiotik yang paling sesuai untuk merawat kesakitannya.

"Proses pembedahan kecil itu doktor tidak risau sangat..yang paling risau sekarang bius tu.. takut hati Shad (Arshad) tidak tahan.

"Kami perlukan masa untuk buat keputusan...jalani pembedahan atau tidak," ujarnya.

Tetapi sekiranya tidak kata Antashah, Arshad akan duduk di rumah dan bergantung kepada antibiotik yang belum tahu kesesuainya.

Antashah tidak menolak kemungkinan Arshad akan mengalami kesakitan kerana nanah atau darah beku itu tidak dapat dikeluarkan.

"Sekiranya sakit Arshad ini tidak diubati, tiada peluang untuk dia menjalani pemindahan hati.

"Sebab untuk buat pemindahan hati ini, dia tidak boleh demam dan ada sebarang jangkitan kuman," katanya.

Dengan nada sayu Antashah menyatakan doktor tidak memberi jaminan terhadap sebarang pembedahan yang mengancam nyawa Arshad itu.

Bagaimanapun jika pembedahan dilakukan kata Antashah, peluang itu dilihat masih ada.

"Kena buat pilihan, keputusan yang paling sukar dalam hidup kami...sama ada pasrah, berserah dan meneruskan pembedahan atau melalui akhir-akhir hujung nyawa Arshad di pangkuan kami.

Tambahnya, walaupun berat untuk membuat keputusan meneruskan pembedahan atau tidak, buat masa ini paling penting Antashah dan isterinya mahu menghabiskan masa gembira sepuas-puasnya bersama Arshad.

"Jadi kami ambil keputusan untuk bawa Arshad balik dahulu untuk sambut Aidilfitri bersama..." katanya mengakhiri perbualan.
