its not bad already for a first timer...try to get a file tool and fill the cut part until it's smooth(or perfectly round)...then it will look like a pro's work

i should said a very good attempt for your 1st time mod. yup you still need to improve you cutting skill.Anway what tools you use to the cut the things out ?Rotary tool or jigsaw ?

no problem, u can actually hide the "teeth" by putting those rubbers like car windows rubber

Guess you need to trim them up abit...to make it more smoother interface ...

Many hardware shop don't sell it. You have to buy it at electrical shop, the ones that sell wires, sockets....... PPL normally use it for lining main power supply box.

UPDATE: 23/8/2006

nth much 4 2day update coz gone 2 mv this morning then came home also 4pm liao

after that raining so only can spray 3 panel!

used TOA spray (black & clear) for this mod.

mirror effect (2 coats of black + 1 coat of clear coat)

Wait for the paint to harden, then finish it off by sanding it to a better mirror shine!!!

if you are lazy to sand and want a bit of mirror finish theres a short cut. just spray gloss.. gives u that shine & a better finish

Quick....I wanna see how you're going to piece it together to get the inverted case. Maybe I'll get some idea out of this.

Mirror shine is all about sanding n polishing. All other ways is not called mirror shine. Just spraying n leaving to dry is not called mirror shine. Clear coat is not a way to make it shine either. Clear dries out to the same exact finish as any other color gloss paint. It does not add any extra shine. Clear coat is there purely to protect metallic coats. NOT to add shine. Real mirror shine is a minimum 3 week process with lotsa painting, drying, sanding, rubbing, polishing. That is the definition of mirror shine. I hope this clears up all confusion coz I c lotsa fellas getting confused n just calling any paint finish as mirror shine simply becoz there's a slight reflection on it.

Phew......... long old granpa story. OK, now everybody go find an old Milo tin to practice mirror shine.

gmail how much u got ur can gun for?

around RM 10

gmail, ure stroking waaaaaaaaay too near to the surface while painting. Makes ure panel look like a zebra with all those lines caused by stroking too near. Stroking too near makes the paint uneven n that's what's causing panel to haf those stripes of uneven paint on it.

The Tsunami is a very fragile case. Better not mess with the structure.

How can you guys say this mod is nice and when people nicely crytic him you guys start to compare.

This mod is ugly and if you say its nice you are lowering the standards of local mods. Dont say its beautiful just to be nice.

Its ugly if you ask me. Threadstarter you really need to polish up your skills and use proper tools but its a good start and im sure youll do better on the next worklog.

^You are missing the point of a forum. It is where ppl get opinions, and in this case, both good and bad. Granted, that this modding forum is where ppl post their worklogs so that others can learn and that the threadstarter can also learn themselves. So many posts were made to ask the threadstarter to file his cuttings but he seems to ignore all of it and continue posting his 'mods' up. It is counter-productive, he is NOT learning and neither are any of us.

If you prefer nice hypocritical praises, I don't think LYN is the place to post your mods. Forumers are posting their HONEST opinion on the mods done here.

That is, but not in a disrespectful way that says "not fit to post" or "doesnt deserve to be here". If he wrecks the case for not filing, its his problem. Just dont post sth that discourages his attempt. Hole cutting, we've learned from Uncle's worklogs, for this worklog, we're only interested in the final product. Which means how the case owner's going to turn the case upside down like he said he's gonna.

update wont be here so soon coz currently busy with skool.

regarding the bottom blow hole,
my jigsaw went spoil that day
so hav 2 use some metal cutter 2 do the job

but both of the hole wont be seen after putting 2 fan there + an acrylic will be install on top of the psu 2 hide all the cable.

how ever this is my 1st worklog, i know that my skill is really poor when compare to uncle ian. so all comment r welcomed.
