Glad I found this thread. I was planning to switch to streamyx 8mb from vip5 once my Contractor ends in ired months time. Reason?
Unifi has to switch on not only phone, but the router and modem for the phone to work.I prefer conventional phone line with no extra electri city.
Also for Unifi even calling its help desk is chargeable.
With streamw last time, whenever phone is broken, it would be replaced free d charge. Unifi equipment only has one year guarantee.
I don't need much upload, just some google photo upload. I probably need YouTube on few machines and we have an android-apps-support TV.
Please tell me it's not a bad idea to switch!

1) u can switch off router, phone can still work

2) for help desk, call 100 is free

3) how many times you break your phone in a year?

1. Modem needs on? Still a pain. I have all three on as under one socket.
2. Not Unifi, unless they change recently. It's alway been 1300 chargeable number
3. Under streamyx last time four years probably got replaced about three times.
