QUOTE ‘No player is too good for Arsenal football club, and Steven Gerrard knows that. But I understand why Gerrard wanted him to stay, so that they could go for the Premier League. But anyway, it didn’t happen, and Suarez left anyway.’ and thats why he is awesome.... |

QUOTE(ahaksz28 @ Aug 1 2014, 10:00 PM) Arsenal FC @Arsenal · 6m Well, between August 15-30, maybe pak weng can really assess the team's performance in the league, see if theres any weakness to improve..if the team is good enough, he might not buy anyone new during that period..Wenger: "I think August 15 to 30 will be busy again." Arsenal FC @Arsenal · 5m Wenger: "@T_Vermaelen05 is injured. It is a possibility that he goes." Arsenal FC @Arsenal · 1m Wenger: "Yes, @joel_campbell12 is part of my plans. He might play tomorrow against Benfica." if Vermy is injured, wont that deter other teams, esp MU, from getting him? |

QUOTE(TheSlipperOne @ Aug 1 2014, 03:23 PM) Arsenal fund Amerika. Since amerika good friend with Israel, so shit happen. IINM Arsenal already terminate the contract last year or the year before Arsenal got tourism contract with Israel. Also the football clinic in some place in Israel. So yeah Arsenal support Israel like that. Thats why someone want boycott Arsenal in them list. QUOTE(raizo7 @ Aug 1 2014, 10:52 PM) Nice PC from Wenger. who? am i missing something here? In short, - Campbell will stay, TV is gone. - we are still looking for new players - denied Quintero, refused to comment about Khedira (lol) - Ospina could miss EC because of thigh problem. - Alexis and Cazorla are buddies. So, Cazorla will stay. - Royce is coming. |

QUOTE The Gunners boss feels the landscape has shifted in his side's favour thanks in large part to Financial Fair Play Stuart MacFarlane Arsene Wenger claims the Premier League balance of power has shifted towards Arsenal – and that they are ready to be champions. Wenger will unleash Chile star Alexis Sanchez in the Emirates Cup this weekend, part of a new-look side. And for the first time since the club left Highbury with one hand tied behind their backs financially, the Gunners boss believes he has a genuine claim to be top dog by May. Wenger said: “I would say the balance of power, in the Premier League, is a bit more even than it was five or six years ago. “That’s because of Financial Fair Play, added to us having more financial power than five years ago. It gives us a better chance. “Until recently, we’d come into seasons knowing it was about who might be leaving, not coming. I was sitting here and thinking, ‘Who will go next?’ “But we managed to get in a better position. It’s a vicious circle. Once you get great players in, everyone wants to stay. "But it goes the other way as well. You see the case at Southampton. Would Schneiderlin want to go if everybody had stayed? That’s the problem. "You look at Southampton and think about the team they had last year, plus Theo Walcott, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gareth Bale – they could have won the Champions League had they managed to keep everybody together.” Wenger last won the title with his 2004 Invincibles, but having ended a nine-year trophy drought with the FA Cup in May, he added: “I never made any excuses. I took it on my shoulders. “But I knew the situation. I accepted the challenge when I signed my contract, knowing what would happen. I thought, personally, it was the most sensitive and important period of my career here. “It was exciting, to manage to keep the club at the top level with less resources. Did we do well or not? The only thing I can say is we were consistent at the level. But we lacked the quality to really win it. Now we have that. "Even last season we were very close to the Premier League, just seven points behind Manchester City. Our belief has grown. “I expect a lot but I can talk and talk – at the end it’s the performance on the pitch that will show how much chance we have to win the Premier League. “We have more confidence than at the beginning of last season. Our opponents have also strengthened. It’s everybody’s ambition to win the league – but only one will win it." Wenger genuinely believes his men will be contenders to City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United, whom he expects will keep on spending under Louis van Gaal. What helps is that the heat is off the Frenchman, something he implicitly conceded as he hinted that, had Arsenal not recovered from two goals down to beat Hull at Wembley, he might not have re-committed for a further three years. Wenger added: "I always said the same thing to you, that I wanted to think I had done well for the club. "My motivation was never at stake and I never questioned that. Did I want to go somewhere else? Never. I always wanted to stay. “But I needed to feel, as well, that I had done a good job and of course the fact we couldn’t win was going on in my mind. It was important for me to feel I have done a decent job. “Would I have stayed if we’d not won anything? I don’t want to answer that question. “But it’s not about that. I never look behind me to what’s done, or what wasn’t done. I try to forget that and always look forward. “What’s done is done. We’ve done something, we won the Cup, but we want to win more and come back and fight for more." Some changes are still to come before the window shuts on September 1, with Wenger admitting club skipper Thomas Vermaelen could leave. He dismissed links with Porto’s Juan Quintero but was slightly more cagey about his pursuit of Germany star Sami Khedira. He did, though, point to the acquisition of Calum Chambers from Southampton as part of a long-term plan to benefit Arsenal and England. "We have Chamberlain, Walcott, Chambers now, and I prefer the fact they are English," added Wenger. "It is an advantage because it’s easier for a club to have stability when you have English players." |

Reus is going nowhere this summer IMO. The only German that we could get is Khedira, which somehow up until this point, fails to excite me. Maybe sebab kurang hensem. |
