Obviously u fail to see the bigger picture. A win will be a morale boost for the team to fight for BPL trophy.

Obviously you fail to see the even bigger picture than your bigger picture.

Fair enough, at work after lunch lazy do research but I'm pretty sure you are mistaken on 01, Liverpool won the shield but it is impossible they went on to win the league that 01/02 season because it was Arsene's 2nd league title with us!

Atleast Moyes won his 1st trophy as a manager. Look at the bright side. Each team wants to win every single game in the season but that's impossible to happen. What's more important is winning the most important matches & CS is one of those for Arsenal.
*
LMAO since when do you even look at the bright side when it comes to Arsenal? I guess those Bora Bora vacations must have enlightened you. If so, good for you.

Or then again you only look at the bright side for your beloved Man U and Moaninho

oh.. haha.. im just counting on my memory.. mistaken about 01, my bad..

CS is the curtain raiser for the PL, stadium packed to be brim. No matter what, all teams playing in it to win it. All big clubs want to win everything, regardless of it being a friendly or not.
*
Yes of course everyone wants to win everything.

However this was just to refute the point made earlier that the CS game shapes a season or is season defining.

More often than not the teams that win it fail to win the BPL. Probably it might affect early confidence but with 40-50 games to go a bad run could come at any time or you may even turn around and say it could breed overconfidence which could also lead to a slow start.

The outcome of the CS may somewhat impact a season but shape a season or define it? You gotta be kidding

Arsenal must win at least 2 trophies this season after all the investment in the players.
*
Ok Community Shield and League Cup. 2 trophy. Play all the reserves in the BPL, concentrate on this 2 Cup. Its ok even if we finish 7th and no Champions League.

Look on the bright side, we still win 2 trophies right.

Finally Liverpool win a player over us

For a reason
*
I'm actually glad this didn't happen after seeing how well Bellerin has progressed. Wouldn't want to impede his progression.

His performances in the Emirates Cup is really reminiscent of a young Philipp Lahm.

Obviously MU is now much stronger & they always been the bogey team for Arsenal.

We need to pass through MU before can win any trophies. It's going to be a much more challenging season for all the team.
*
So pass Man U can adi? How about Moaninho? Shame on you forget about your 19th century football manager.

This Community Shield looks to be anybody's game as both teams have quite a number of key players out although I would say City have the edge in midfield but their back 5 doesn't look the most convincing.

City lineup: Caballero, Clichy, Boyata, Nastasic, Kolarov, Navas, Fernando, Toure ©, Nasri, Jovetic, Dzeko

Sanogo has looked very mobile. His off the ball movement has been excellent. Needs to improve his finishing.

This is why Sanogo is so good. His ability to hold ball is pretty damn good.

He looks more like the Bergkamp type player, not a pure goal scoring striker.

Bergkamp? LOL that's ott man

Give the dude some time. Sanchez may be there physically but I still doubt his match sharpness is at 100% after just coming for pre-season in the Emirates Cup.
