QUOTE(THE CLASS OF 13 @ Jul 29 2014, 11:19 PM) guys just now my bro called, he said my gaga batery kong ady after left it unstarted almost a week..battery age ady 2 years but he blaming the vs that i just installed..he said vs will take charged from my battery..but i think otherwise , battery kong bcos ady 2years i think which is normal lifespan of maintenence free battery right..plus left it unstarted almost a week..before this i never left it more than 2days unstarted..i drive it daily even short distance ony..so wat u guys think about this? i think shudnt blame on vs only right? Hi Bro... There's no fixed lifespan 4batt3 IINM... My Ramcar batt lasted 3+ yrs & cld still start every morning...even at time me replaced it cos near CNY... Voltage tested under load then was 10V+... More on luck, usage & maintenance (as in maintaining a full charge as much as possible)... If Ori Ramcar batt3 (not a dry batt), try chking if it's low on fluid... If so, top up & recharge. Then go for a LOAD test. AFAIK, car electrical sys will hv leakage sumwhere...also current is consumed even if car is not used...eg by clock? And yup, there's usage (led) & possible leakage by VS... So 1 week of standing cld hv drained the batt or discharged it/left it w/o enuf juice 2crank engine... Cld b due 2shortcircuiting of plates (bent?) being oledi 2 yrs old? Dunno really... Best wishes... |

Hi Everyone!!
Juz2share... Mayb useful info...? Symptoms of BAD Carbon Purge Valve ========================== 1. If your engine starts to miss out, chances are vapor is not sent to where it should be. In this case, the bad valve in your ride sends fuel vapor directly to your engine cylinders, which causes your system to choke. 2. Having blown and leaking gaskets is also another symptom that you have to watch out for. You see, a busted valve causes pressure to build up and this brings damage to your gasket components. 3. Having busted spark plugs. When your plugs wear out or burn prematurely, this can also be a good indicator of having bad valves. ps. Hv read of many cases of leaking rocker cover gaskets...cld this bad valve b a probable cause? This post has been edited by zeone: Aug 4 2014, 09:06 PM |
