after 10 days of ownership of zenfone 6. I have encountered 2 major problems on my phone.

First, the screen auto rotation will stop functioning occasionally. Have to restart phone only it will be back to normal. Hardware prob or software bug? I hope it's the latter as it can be solved when the new update is available *fingers crossed*

Secondly, which has caused me severe headache, the phone will shut down itself without any warning. This has happened for about 6 to 7 times in my 10 days of ownership. However, when my phone shut itself down automatically, my fren called me and it can be connected while my phone would not ring nor display anything. Just plain dark (off screen).
Anyone has came across this issue? Any solution available?

Yea I'm using the flip case mode. Using original Asus flip case free from Asus. so it's the culprit? I try off it a week and see how it goes.. maybe we let Asus know about this problem and hope they can solve it by next update. Screen rotation too.

I bought my phone from Asus Singapore and got it free. It cost retail $39 which is around RM100.

so far I haven't encountered any back button issue. pls update here if it's the flip cover mode problem. I tried to factory reset my phone but the problem still persist.

Yes after factory reset, it will still auto off *so far encountered only once after i did factory reset 48 hours ago*.
The flip cover mode was on. I just only turned it off and see how it goes

to the owners who had the same problem with me which the phone automatically shut down when the flip cover mode is on, i have came to a conclusion. I have deactivated my flip cover mode for few days and nth happen. After I turn it back on, my phone shut down itself twice in a day.. fuk. so this could be hardware or software prob rite?

Mine is original sg set. Anything i can claim from asus sg as i staying jb so it's just a bridge away.

same here. Android system taken about 30% of my battery life according to the battery page while my screen only 17%.
I noticed that the "Awake" is high even when I off my screen.

Really hope that the update would solve the power drain issue. Normally, my phone would have about 65% to 70% at this hour but today it left only 50% with the same style of phone usage

still under monitoring.. altho the battery % didn't drop as fast as previous, but still pek chek to see Android System takes up high % of consumption.

gooding spec but the battery capacity is so small. Perhaps Asus will come up with Asus Power Bank S that is "exclusively" made for Padfone S. lol

After updated, my phone batt back to normal. Quite lasting but i found another issue. Whenever i unlock my screen, the screen will occassionally not functioning. Eg : after i unlock screen, i tap on my whatsapp icon located in the middle of the screen. Instead of opening whatsapp, the screen would just slide to 2nd page of the home screen. Damn it. Anyone facing this?
