QUOTE(sleyer @ Jul 25 2014, 10:04 AM)
hai all,,

i need little explanation  for pros n cons between using build in flash pop up with dedicated flash..

also i have model EOS 7D so what model dedicated flash suitable for this camera?

thanks
*
A dedicated flash gun is always preferable to the pop up flash. Using a flash gun allows you to be creative with the light and bounce light of various surfaces at various angles giving you a better picture. Direct flash is pretty undesirable in most cases.

If you're just a hobbyist, the Canon 430EX II is more than enough for you. Plenty of power and can bounce too. If that's too expensive you could probably look at third party alternatives like some of the Nissin flashes. smile.gif

sigma 50mm f1.4 compatible to 6D?

Yes it is. I used to have one with my 5D2 and later on 5D3. Wonderful lens. If you can get the new Art version even better. smile.gif

ART super over budget d  cry.gif but i heard some ppl says the sigma 50 got focusing issue with 6D, not sure the info zhun or not..
*
I was using the one before the Art version. Worked very well on my 5D2 as well as my 5D3. Didn't even need to adjust the focus. Just get a good copy and you'll be happy biggrin.gif

I guess can remove my name from the owner list? laugh.gif Already sold off my 5D and all the L lenses and moved on to Fujifilm X-T1 in Feb. biggrin.gif
*
How's the X-T1 treating you so far? Been contemplating getting a lighter system since nowadays I don't do much paid/serious work anymore. laugh.gif

Oh I love it. biggrin.gif
Even the SOOC shots are already good. biggrin.gif I don't shoot RAW with my XT-1. laugh.gif
I bought it with the 23mm f/1.4, love this prime and the bokeh. drool.gif

Go and buy one to complement with your FF. I lazy wanna keep so many cameras so decided to go for one only. tongue.gif
For my Nikon V1, being the generous me I have given it away to my loved one. blush.gif
*
Yeah, I've only heard good things about the Fuji's and their lenses. Thinking of getting a X-E2 with the 23 1.4 as well biggrin.gif

Also, it might be time to sell some of my lenses that I don't use as often as before. Namely the 100L Macro laugh.gif

Thanks! Small items should be fine with me. I should have enough space for you guys. I'm actually gonna be shipping boxes back too, so if there's something that's not too expensive or urgent it can go into the box. Finished my work stint here and forced to come home unfortunately. sad.gif

Btw fruitie, you're 100% on Fujifilm now if I remembered correctly right?

Very unfortunately though, to come back to Malaysia at this time...

Yes, I'm 100% Fujifilm. biggrin.gif
*
Yup, I will try to return to the States though. Possibly come back for grad school. Really wish I could stay here longer laugh.gif

Nice! Satisfied so far? Just brought my gear out for some much needed exercise after neglecting it for some time. I should really use my Canon gear more often or sell it sweat.gif Hopefully I'll have more time to shoot when I'm back in Malaysia.

Yes, very satisfied especially Fujifilm has a lot of good firmware updates for X-T1. biggrin.gif
Eh, besides Canon, what else do you use? unsure.gif
*
Do you have a flash for your Fuji? biggrin.gif

Only Canon for now sis. I have an old manual Nikon SLR and a couple of Nikkor primes but that's about it. Always wanted a smaller system but never went through with the plan as other priorities came up laugh.gif

Good means, as 5d3 already in market, will 5d2 specifications too outdated? If not too outdated then is good.
*
It's still a very capable camera. Of course it won't be the best for action/sports kind of photography but for portraiture, studio, planned wedding, landscape etc it will still deliver the goods. wink.gif

Haha, when are you planning to start working? Gonna do anything related to photography? I just got my working holiday visa in New Zealand, going over there to find a job, hopefully its related to photography. Meanwhile, Im just doing photography now.  cool2.gif

Looking for jobs right now, don't think it's gonna be photography related. Been kinda lazy recently and haven't been taking anything more than just casual stuff here and there.

Sounds good man, good luck and all the best! thumbup.gif

I think the camera trend had died down. It's like half of the camera street in Taipei had closed shop  sad.gif

QUOTE(Lego Warfare @ Jan 26 2016, 11:23 PM)
The trend now is smartphone cameras lol. Their quality for these past few years have been improving, and more than enough for most people nowadays for Facebook and Instagram.
*
Yeah, it's not longer fashionable to carry around a big black box with big black or white lenses anymore. Everyone is using their mirrorless/GoPros/smartphones to take photos nowadays. laugh.gif

But I agree, the quality from phones like the Note 5 is really really good for what it is. Definitely more than adequate for FB or Insta. And the quality is only gonna improve in the next few years laugh.gif

Now most of the camera shop already selling smart phones, a camera shop owner told me, the camera sales drop like 60-70% every year as people prefer smart phone.

but problem is that 90% of the phone shots i took all failed as stock, coz noise etc...

No doubt but for a person who's incapable of taking nice photos but enjoy the feel of clicking the shutter... smartphones just don't do it for me. No "feel"  laugh.gif
Yup. Most are gone except for a feel old time shops that have their own steady stream of customers.

Anything specific that you're looking for?

Most people's SOP if they don't have a specific go-to shop or buying big ticket item is run a search through Yahoo auction (below) and go to the seller shop to buy.

Otherwise, these days I go to Guanghua area (Zhongxiao Xinsheng Station Exit 1) for camera related GAS.

CK Camera pre-owned shop. Shop's small but its just outside the station exit.

Pinguang is my go-to for selling used gear and have bought some lens from them too.

Location  -  https://goo.gl/maps/T4m5N83xjRr  (They're on the 2nd floor)

Of course then there's Syntrend Mall 3rd Floor.

Prices are nothing special but its the defacto showroom for brands to show their stuffs in Taipei. Definitely the place to go if you wanna check how that camera body feels like or how does that bag look like in real life etc.

I agree, I still prefer my dSLR but I do realize that sometimes I have more fun and enjoy myself more when I'm not lugging around my camera and instead just focus on enjoying the trip/scenery/friends/etc. But then again, when I do bring my camera out and look at the pictures afterwards it gives me this warm and fuzzy feeling inside laugh.gif

But tbh, cameraphones nowadays are really great. These were shot in auto mode on my Note 5. It's not perfect but for something that came out of a phone, most people would be satisfied with the quality. The only edit I did was to remove the number plates.
