Hi guys
Need some help here. I (hammer to balls) sent my 60D for repair 1 day after warranty. Ok, laugh please but now time to get serious:

Some sort of failure and now get quoted RM800 to repair. Is there any way I can appeal to kind souls or make some sort of facebook campaign to help get a discount?

Its just the right amount to make me wanna just chuck it away as spare parts and get another body but either way it hurts financially.

Anyone with any contacts to Canon service that I can bug?

Just got off the phone with a technician / service rep from Canon. They gonna fix my 60D as if under warranty! Yay!

Major thumbs up and I will definitely say something nice on their FB when I get it back.

Congratulations bro,

but i guess it is just one day so they can close one eye.

btw canon dont really reply their fb wall, they just spam their new adverts and dont bother replying one, and many people sell their gears there.

What exact rosak ur camera? i asking since i am using the same cam. I had a flickering screen once and I was like tut*. Lucky nothing.

They replace "bottom plate". As I try to dig, it is SD board and shutter assembly but weirdly my problem is the photo cannot be saved into the SD.

Hi guys, new year new mission : My first (and hopefully last) wedding day shoot for my bro in law (as I only have 1 Bro-in-law)

It will be the typical Chinese wedding day, morning with him to fetch the bride and night wedding in restaurant.

I'm intensely debating on the gear to bring and would like your opinions:

1 Canon 550D + YN568EX + Tamron 17-50 for the usual situations.
2 Canon 60D + 430Ex+ with either the 35mm F2 or 50mm F1.8?

Recently I have come to expect very less of the 35mm in dim situations Auto focus and really kills my mojo. I imagine the shorter length allows for closer portraits (Restaurants)

With the 50mm I also expect nothing in AF but will the longer reach be useful and enable slightly better (undistorted) portraits? I suppose a good way would be to carry everything but I really want to avoid lens change. Or should I just go Rambo with 1 lens and enjoy the low weight?

FYI above is all the gear I can probably get / carry.

Bro, I can get all the above available, but do you mean just wing it with 1 camera + 1 lens?

thanks all bro's and sis's replies, i feel more confident to go with just 1 camera + Lens.

Yes I will have reflector / big bounce card thingy to use with the flash. I am really afraid of neck breaking with 2 cameras....wish me the best.
