QUOTE(fenrir0402 @ Aug 27 2014, 01:40 PM) consider myself lucky, i got it as second hand unit, damn new hardly believe it was used, included everything like body, kit lens, battery, memory card, lanyard, sans camera bag, so i have to carry around with it on my hand! Welcome to the club!I immediately test shot a couple of pictures last night, well here it is: » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Very noob picture, hope you guys can give me some opinion, even critics i would gladly accepted Wow, a plastic model collector huh! Like your collection! One thing I have to why the picture taken is dated December 2013? Or you have not format the card and set the camera date? Advice from me would be try not to put the ISO too high as quite a noisy image for a product shot, eventhou nowadays can do high ISO setting. And do look out for the background as sometime it might be distracting. Keep up the good work! Recent weekend shot ![]() ![]() |

QUOTE(fenrir0402 @ Aug 27 2014, 05:42 PM) yeah i think i didnt set the camera date, cos i bought this as used unit, at a very great price hehe... For the ISO you need to set according to the light condition, or let the camera decide in AUTO ISO. But for product or still shot, is better to have cleaner image or image with less noise, so you need a steady support or tripod to help you with the shot. Have some test shot and see how the camera perform in high ISO and try to avoid getting more noise into picture. But remember, a 'noisy' picture is always better than a blurry picture. so indoor shoot should set to 100 enough? i actually put this on auto sans flash mode. and yeah i have great love for action figure, 1 of the main reasons to jump into the DSLR bandwagon. other than that, cosplay chicks I really wondered my camera can do the shoot like yours?? ppl said lens matters more, but i doubt it would reach to a point you will have to upgrade to a better body I also wonder how other people got great shot, but i think the only way is shoot more and learn from the mistakes. For me, if you pass me any camera i will also take the same type of shot, as is still the same user with the same mind set. Lens do matter more because they can retain a greater resale value compared to body and photography is like another type of investment. So what body and lens does not drag me down from getting the shot i wanted, in fact i am using a 10 years old plus DSLR and it still serve me good. |

QUOTE(Rice_Owl84 @ Sep 25 2014, 03:32 PM) If I were getting an EOS M now think i would just get the whole set for RM1390. EOS M Body, 18-55mm, 22mm, EF adapter, 90 EX flash. I think EOS M has the biggest price change since released in 2012.And the future can complete it even more with ef-m 11-22mm, ef-m 55-200mm and either EF 40mmf2.8/50mm1.8 prime. Its not really lacking in lens choices anymore. Starting with body with 18-55 kit lens from rm2699 to body + 18-55mm + 22mm + 90EX + EF mount adapter for RM3649 Hope canon can put some effort in mirrorless market as everyone is going small |

QUOTE(Rice_Owl84 @ Sep 26 2014, 10:54 AM) Think I read somewhere EOS M is selling well in Japan and China markets. And that's where the EOS M2 is easily found. So they could just give up on the rest of the world and just keep their future EOS M stuff in these 2 markets. Just my opinion, i am not sure how often Canon release firmware update for its cameraAnyways I hope Canon can have a firmware update for 70D to have 1080p60 like how Sony just did for their RX10. I'm not really too keen on paying just for a 7D mkii to get 1080p60, which at that price range Sony A7s and GH4 can be considered already. I think Canon should release a 750D with 1080p60 ASAP to keep their video side competitive. With Sony A5100 having XAVS 1080p60 on the entry level, the 750D should not lose out. If they do release the 750D, maybe a minor tweak done to the 750D eg. the video quality aspect you wanted. This can be done with a firmware upgrade, but instead they release a newer model to do the 'upgrade'. Pushing customer for the newer model. Same sensor since 550D to 700D, hope Canon can come out a bigger spec difference compared to the previous gen even is a beginner model. Not just announcing a model for the sake of announcing. |
