QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jan 3 2007, 03:03 AM) Yes, this is the problem faced by some users that uses those heatsinks that the fan uses blow down style such as Bigthyphoon, XP120, G-Power Pro Sorry if this is a bit out of topic - didnt feel like starting a new thread..Edit, where's doom? I wanna see his reaction after seeing that HR-05 is already beaten by NC-U6 what northbridge heatsink fits nicely into a ds3 with thermaltake btvx? Its like pushing 40c at 460 fsb@load and im kinda concerned. will need to get a northbridge heatsink before i plan to run at that speed. |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Jan 3 2007, 11:17 AM) Since height is a problem for you, then there is only one choice... Thanks for the suggestion.PCCooler NB-400 CU It's small, it's powerful, and it's much much lower than those tower chipset heatsink... However, either google is broken or this nb heatsink is so scarce that i cant find a picture of it, let alone a review of it on the net. Do point me to the right direction. p/s: i've only found one picture of it in this thread. |

QUOTE(akachester @ Jan 3 2007, 02:08 PM) Anyway, for those who wanted to get the Zalman flower nb cooler, make sure you will have sufficient space for it.My cooler almost clashes with my gc.From what i can see, it will almost definitely fit onto a DFI LP board perfectly without any problem..I might be wrong though.. Guess theres no other way to know whether it could fit or not besides buying it I guess. Just trying my luck, anyone here using the zalman flower nb cooler with 965P DS3? |

Errr... now thats weird.. Im pretty sure the highest i've got under load @ 460fsb @ no aircond room was about 40c, at most 42c on the default ds3..

chipset temperature, core temperature, speedfan.. something doesnt sound rite here.. im getting confused meself.
for me, speedfan only shows 'accurately' the chipset temperature. I use TAT to monitor my Core(s) temperature And yes, right now, my chipset temperature is like 40c underload. Probably because i have a 120mm side fan blowing directly to it, and coupled with a low profile graphics card makes the air circulation better i guess. It could go down as low as 30c @idle with the aircond on. |

QUOTE(coolice @ Jan 4 2007, 11:08 AM) r u sure mobo temp is chipest temp?probably ur mobo temp goes down because u use 120mm fan to blow it..try blower or 40mm fan for jsut blow ur chipset heatsink and see..superfly and me tried last time,no decreasing on mobo temp even we turn on then fan Now i'm more confused. Mobo temp and chipset temp is different meh? Btw, the temperature in easytunes 5 for system is the same temp as reported in speedfan. So I would assume that it would be the chipset temp, no? Will try to switch off the fan later but right now the results might be distorted a bit coz i reapplied AS5 to my northbridge heatsink last nite thinking that 40c was a bit too hot.. Then i saw the other guys post and i feel abit relax |

im still confused.. maybe becoz of the rainy friday afternoon..
im using ds3. in easytunes, theres a motherboard temperature which usually hovers between 30c - 40c depending on load and ambient temperature. In speedfan reports exactly the same temperature as temp1. Am i to assume that as my northbridge temperature? |
