ur right, but dont see any other full copper ones available locally...the good ones all hv to order frm overseas, and hv to go thru the waiting process again
*
dont necessarily need copper to do it ler... i mean if the manufacturer is confident enough in their product to NOT include heatsinks on the chips then alu oso should be enough....

but for the sake of NTBD ive thought of 2 options...

1/ get one of these heatsinks from uglyvamp. id personally either use the TSOP or BGA. and they come with 3M Thermal tapes too thumbup.gif

2/ find an old processor heatsink that is long enough to cover ALL the chips AND go over the holes... cut it to size...and drill holes aligned with the holes on the mobo. then use pushpins to secure it. this way u can use normal TIMs and remove it easily in case u need to. only negative i see by going this route other than the lotsa work, would be that the fins may be too tall to fit any aftermarket heatsinks like the thermalright XP/SI series. some tower heatsinks may be useable though.

I'd choose the TSOP. smile.gif
The base thickness is good, the fins are high and thin too...

This will greatly help reducing the temps. thumbup.gif
*
agreed....but only because its tall.... i have both those heatsinks and the fins are thick. definitely thicker than any cpu/GC/ chipset heatsink ive seen.

the BGA has much thinner fins than the TSOP and theyre nicely spread out. only thing is that its considerably shorter.

thx for the explanation guys....wanna ask are those heatsinks applicable for cooling these as well...the mosfets

[attachmentid=199253]
*
definitely. ANY of those heatsinks will help cool ur mosfets.

one of the SLI-solutions should be able to fit with good enough clearance i guess... like the hr-05 SLI.

only problem is.. the SLI solutions are kinda limited now me thinks and only those from TR are easily available. the rest are kinda rare..at least those worth mentioning la.
