mobo temps is usually totally different from the chipset. how can the mobo tempp be the chipset temp if the mobo is not even prducing alot of heat load? mobo is usually ur case temp. but of course nt every board has these...like dfi lp series, the mobo ttemp is replace by pwm temp, etc....u get the picture?
*
yup, u rite, mobo temp is ur case temp, but again not all mobo has this, usually it's located near ur ram slot, cause ur a lot of heat will accumulate there, that's why top exhaust fan are important to take out the heat...

i read this somewhere but can't remember it doh.gif

I don't wanna lie, so i tell the truth lor...

Seriously, the Noctua NC-U6 is much much better than Thermalright HR-05 thumbup.gif
*
yup, those Noctua really better than Thermalright, but Thermalright have their HR SLI advantage for those who have clearance issue biggrin.gif

ya i am also considering to get a noctua but worry if wanna SLI
hope nocua will launch a SLI version
*
errr, if Noctua do make an SLI version for their chipset heatsink, i think they have to make like Thermalright lor, 2 heatpipe only nod.gif

if like that maybe I need to study the mobo manual again to see whether it got sensor for the NB... hmm.gif

Wow...so many reviews you wanna do...maybe next time those manufacturer will just give you free set to do review... brows.gif
*
hopefully, anyway wanna ask, does some mobo really doesn't have those chipset temp monitor, what i mean is that, my mobo got the default application for reading temp, but only for proc, does this mean that it got no nb temp, or if i install those third party, i will display the temp, cause all i know if that the mobo's application doesn't display any nb temp, that means no temp reader for chipset, correct me if i'm wrong sweat.gif

wah that was confusing but ok... try speed fan.... if it detects ur temps, then it is fine, but if speed fan cant detect there is not many softwares out there that will support you....
*
confused laugh.gif i just wanna know if the default application provided in the cd driver does not have nb temp reader, only have proc temp, will installing the speed fan solve it blink.gif will this speedfan work on an old mobo unsure.gif

im still confused.. maybe becoz of the rainy friday afternoon..

im using ds3. in easytunes, theres a motherboard temperature which usually hovers between 30c - 40c depending on load and ambient temperature.

In speedfan reports exactly the same temperature as temp1. Am i to assume that as my northbridge temperature?
*
easy liao laugh.gif just unplug ur nb heatsink, then let ur system full load it, see both temp reader, if it increase, then that a nb temp reader smile.gif

Just wondering, by comparing side by side, which one is a better buy?The Noctua NCU6 or the Thermalright HR05?

My cousin is considering between this 2 and would love to know in term of performance which one is better (considering that the price are almost the same)?
*

the thing is that not everyone can go for the noctua.
due to new VGA's which are getting longer, and longer, it might be a tad bi of a porb to fit one in
a very good example of a person in this situation is me.
cant seem to use it with a 7950 gx2 sad.gif what more a 2900XTX ><
*
hmmm, good point there, so in ur case, the HR SLI will fits rite laugh.gif blink.gif

wah, planning to go for Radeon 2900XTX drool.gif why not goin for GeForce 8950 GX2 brows.gif itu 7950 kasi tambah 1000 lg la laugh.gif

8900 GTX = 128 + 25% more shaders = 160 shaders rclxub.gif
8950 GX2 = more than 160 , maybe 200 shaders rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif

And the NC-U6 & the HR-05 is very handsome you know? laugh.gif

But that SunnyStone SS HA-001 is freaking ugly...

Just look at it's design, not handsome at all, but hansap! doh.gif
