War of heat pipe now days ... last time about copper fin...

put aside how many heat pipe it has other factors also come into consideration .. such as length of pipe, material inside the pipe and how well it bond to the fins...of course design patten of fin also important

don't just comparing one factor while there are more to be considered....

It would be better to get the stuff from bulk order .... that's under condition if u are willing to wait ,,,,,

for me the time dont want to wait .. .so just go for it ... i got it for RM110.

i did wait for the HR-01 as it is not available locally ... and lucky it took a month long to settle the stuff.

nice but wouldn't it better to have the CPU heat sinl to be configured with push rather than pull air ???

this look heavy and expensive with massive copper ....

i wonder can fit fans on it or not .. since copper does not dissipate heat well without enough air flow...

which one would be the best depend on whether u really have the hot mobo to test it out .... some review site may not push the chip to the hottest level..

this may generate inaccurate result ... best cooler only shine when u could push to the limit ...

there is review on it .. i think u could google a bit.

the performance is not bad but it must go with the fan else huge drop...

good in term of size as not too big ... however not that silence compare to HR-05 & SLI ..

some like copper while some like the heat pipe design .. so let it be for the forumer to choose their own liking.

however if performance is concern than HR-05 is no doubt ... it also depend the budget and performance level u are looking for ..

if u are cooling a mobo chip set that ain't so hot than it should be fine ended with TT Extreme spirit .. do remember if the fan fail it could be tricky to get replacement ...

agree with sHawTY ... i have the whole set and use it on VGA ram ...

realize the heat sink is so hot .. so i doubt it could really cool off the ram without strong airflow within the case...

With that cooler, is there need for the additional chipset cooler ??

I think the air from both fans are definitely more than enough to keep the chipset cool enough as long as there's a slightly better chipset heat sink installed .. maybe a Zalman passive chipset cooler will works..

hmmm new product that doesn't solve the problem of heat without having increasing the compatibility problem ...

Seriously I think all mobo manufacturer got to start thinking carefully the placement of the chipset ...

We can't live with condition that having big big cooler here and there that in the end doesn't works well together ..

Can that Zalman flower nb hsf fit without touching CPU heatsink or the transistors on the mobo .,,

@sHawTY

of course before and after using this cooler ....

Can't achieve perfection I guess, since there's always clearance issue for chipset cooler ..

It's hard to increases the number of heat pipes, fins wideness and height as well without running into compatibility issue ..

wah ,, that would make the mobo box gigantic and having more compatibility issues.. which most of the manufacturer aren't willing to bear with it ..

besides that it's not a wise solution for those that none IT tech to use the mobo ... u've got to know there's people that loads with cash and only buy the best thing without knowing what's so good about it ....

so those nicely fitted heat pipes is the only solution to satisfied most of the people ....
