Does SB chipset get affected in terms of temperature when OCing like the NB?

Good question, i've always been thinking about the same thing. laugh.gif
Can anyone help us in answering this question? hmm.gif

well,

SB is the I/O controller hub (ICH) which is made to take the control the slower busses on the mobo:

eg: PCI buses, IDE controllers, DMA, ACPI, USB controller etc. Our onboard ethernet, RAID controller, Firewire, etc also working under the SB.

So i think overclocking wont make such heavy impact on the SB (unless we change a certain bus clock speed). The SB will generate more heat when we are working more into data transfers, database systems (Servers), or any excessive I/O requests from the controllers in the SB. smile.gif
