dont bother with nissin or YN. they arent design for sony Miso.. u will face more issue then solving it. after 2-3 month find out so many feature missing compare to the Sony flash, then struggle to sell it to buy sony flash... why the hassle? dont bother 3rd party, they are cheap for a reason... not full compatibles.

i have a nex 5t and power lense selp1650.
the lens is starting to make noise, grinding noise. 
how long will it last b4 lens is totally broken? i cant get a replacement now as im in the uk. wont be back until oct.
im so screwed.

I used to buy from Fotokem when I was in my early days of photography many years back. But when I started moving on to more expensive gear, I found Fotokem too expensive.

Eventually I went with YLCamera in Pudu and Boeing Photo in Sungei Wang. And even then, after YLCamera started to expand, their prices became less competitive and now I get almost all my gear from Boeing Photo. You can try them. But not sure whether they give very good prices to new clients or whether Fotokem have become competitive again since my last visit 4 to 5 years ago.

Well, I would say price really differ from shop to shop depend on what package you are looking for.  Some shop sell camera cheap, lens slightly more pricy, or accessory more pricy.  I bought my SEL35F18 for RM999 last month during the hari raya promo at fotokem in lowyat (price was cheap cause I bought the Sony A6000 from them as well).  Before committing to the purchase, I personally visited 8 camera shops ( within lowyat, sungei wang, mid valley), and called up two shops (yl, digitalmania and another japanese sounding website).  Standard camera with kitlens price all the shops are roughly the same.  But with package certain shops can do better.  So, to find the cheapest, one just have to go do the extra footwork.

Ya i simply buy from camrra shop and stick to it. Rm10.

if just want to protect the lens, normal filter will do, 

if u have budget go for sony zeiss lo, else still have a lot goo brand outside like B&W, HOYA, NISI, MARUMI, ....etc... it very depend on your wallet to take care ur lens,,hope give u good ideal

top notch filter are, Sony Zeiss (hard to clean, easily scratch, prefect light transmission, boost micro contrast and saturation), Hoya HD (make sure it has HD word, easy to clean, scratch resistant, slightly weaker light transmission), B+W F-Pro, or XS-Pro Nano(xtraslim pro) filters B+W are very easy to clean and scratch resistant, high light transmission), rare occasion you will see Nikon Filters... Marumi have to find a good reliable source, too many fakes.. these are very pricey, but they really do their job well

recently there is a brand Zeiss pop up, not sure if its real or fakes... try do a little research.

other brands, many fakes claim Pro1D coating(from hoya), i tested many, either color cast, or light lost, or degrade quality... end up either go naked or B+W(end up all my lens using b+w)

Hey guys! I'm kinda stuck making a decision, and thought I'd see if anyone here can offer some insight =)
I own an NEX-6 and I'm considering buying a spare battery, but an original battery is 200++ =(
Do third-party batteries work fine? Is there any option to charge the batteries outside the camera? Would love suggestions/recommendations =)

Thanks guys! Btw, do they work with NEX-6? I did some reading online and seems like Wasabi Power is quite good...some people also did mention that the earlier models of NP-FW50 may not work in the NEX-6.

hi, find "caryn_eternal" in LYN, i cant find her thread but she is selling the charger for nex (original from Sony Malaysia) for rm100 included postage. consider it.

and i wouldnt recommend 3rd party batt. i have 3 previous. one died out of the blue, one cant hold charge over 100 pictures after 6 month. one grow FAT and jammed inside the battery compartment (have to knock it out)...

and i have 2 original battery from the first day i gotten the nex3 (3 years back) and its still working nicely till today.
