QUOTE(lchee @ Jul 27 2014, 10:31 PM) I think I got a pretty good deal for this. However, the sales person sweet talk me into buying lens filter. I bought two lens filter, one for the kit lens SELP1650 and one for the SEL35F18. Each lens filter cost RM100. So total RM200 for the lens filter from this brand Steinzeiser (DMC UV 40.5mm and DMC UV 49mm). Have I overpaid for the lens filter? Over price filter, shops earn the most from accessories. Usually I dont buy accessories from them, instead I get it from lowyat seller.http://www.steinzeiser.com/index.php?ws=ou...g=#openproducts I think there is no international recognition on this brand, its a local company doing repackage on the filter. Lets wait for more comment. This post has been edited by NewbieBetta: Jul 29 2014, 04:05 AM |

QUOTE(edpaul @ Aug 4 2014, 08:42 PM) ahhh sorry i didnt know the price diff that much, all this while i thought F20m was like 299 (i got mine at that price) and F43m at 999rrp and 750 street. F60m at 1499rrp and 1.3 street price (got mine at 1250) (i marked the street price up a little due to lack of stock) mind share where did you purchase it for 299?and yes, for casual gathering, the F20M is the best tool u can get. further info for you. the F20 uses triple A (AAA) batteries. they are a little pricey if rely on alkaline batt (non rechargeable)... if you think you would use it often, consider investing in a simple Sanyo Eneloop 2x AAA + charger set at around 80-100. (although i prefer Maha set, a FS401S(rm110) + 4x Imedion AAA (rm55)) BTW, which one is newer F20m or F20s model? This post has been edited by NewbieBetta: Aug 5 2014, 04:55 AM |

QUOTE(edpaul @ Aug 5 2014, 12:56 PM) sorry it was the F20AM, the price should be same... i brought it when F20AM just came out... thats like nearly 4 years ago. since i got adapter from the A99, so i still use it with the adapter. F20s is for the 'smart terminal' from Nex3/5 series. the A3000 and A6000 uses the new MIiso. (multimedia interface iso) F20s for the Nex3/5 series F20AM for the old Alpha hotshoe, (A100/200/300/700/900, A33/35/55/57/65/77) F20M is for all the lastest model. finally unify as one hotshoe between A and E mount. (camera that comes after Nex6, Axxxx series and A99) |

QUOTE(ChinWY @ Sep 29 2014, 07:15 PM) I have both.. and normally use the original external charger which came with my NEX 5N.. the OEM version is more for backup.. bit slower due to lower charge current but ... only a bit slow. It is also not a balance charger so I avoid it unless i have no options. May I know whats the DC output Ampere for your original external charger.Sorry .. i got the OEM unit from Aliexpress.... so brand is xxx hehehe. I was more keen in hacking it to be charge by 5V power bank by using a 5 to 12V voltage converter. Part of my backpacking solutions. Btw, I had bought an overprice Digieye iPro HD UV filter RM80. Where did you guys get yours, what brand and price? All the while I knew shops make earning by selling accessories, but I'm in a hurry to use the camera this Saturday, therefore I say ok to pay for it. |

I previously do not use filter on my dslr lens. |

Hi guys,
On the A6000, how can I turn off the lcd screen? Just like a DSLR the lcd screen will not always be on and will only show preview of the captured object. Is there a option for A6000 to work the same? The always on lcd are sucking the battery pretty fast. Thanks |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Oct 1 2014, 08:43 AM) Actually, the EVF sucks a lot more power than the LCD. That said, I know what you mean. Unfortunately, as far as I know, there's no way to set the LCD to do that automatically. noted with thanks And the "blank screen" custom button option doesn't even turn off the screen. I'll do a bit more digging around. |
