Thank you so much for sharing your cosplay photos. Where were these events actually? Or there was no event, just shooting your friends?
Please teach me how do you use flash on these photos? They look so good and the lights are so smooth. Did you place your flash on the camera hot shoe or separate location? Did you use diffuser? Wall bouncing might be difficult as your locations were big malls and some outdoors. I'm total newbie on flash. Thank you very much!  notworthy.gif

The first pict was invited shoot. The second and third was taken at a small event last Sunday, at Jaya Mall.
There was folks using reflector, so I make use of it and fire my flash (on camera) with diffuser (stofen) towards it. Not best method, still learning. Cant say teach or otherwise :v The area we shoot has plenty of natural light.
Post processing for the last one, i reduced saturation of the girl behind.
All shot with a6000 + Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 D

Graduated from kitlens, but I still love my SELP1650, especially during travels.

Anyhow, here is today's spam, with a6000 + Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 dx ii.
More experimentation with ultrawide.

Pardon me for saying but the image above is from the Tokina 11-16mm?

If that is so then it has some real funky bokeh rendition. And not in a good way. It's creating distracting brightline bokeh.
*
Yes, both are taken by Tokina 11-16mm. The bokeh wasnt smooth or even-lighted, probably needs a different approach with background then.

Shooting RAW with SELP1650 actually requires a lot of processing, that made me often shoot in jpeg only. But it is a great versatile lens to travel around, I still love it.

Some new spams from recent shot, critiques always welcomed:

Hi Experts,

I had Alpha DSLR with me and now would think to get NEX camera, appreciate some assistants onto my question below:

1. Any third party adapter beside sony? How much will it cost? Quality?
2. Any disadvantages/limitation by using the Alpha lens onto NEX body?

Thank you.
*
Not expert but I guess still can reply :v

You will need a powered adapter for many of the A lenses so the aperture can be controlled. So far Sony's own LA-EA2/4 adapters are great option. Full manual lens then any would fine.
As for downside, besides it makes NEX less compact, some of the lenses have no lens profile in exif and on-cam correction didnt work (maybe the lenses I used were too old + third party, which could happen on A body anyway), nothing too big I guess.
Havent able to compare the focusing speed difference though.

Just realized the A lenses have the aperture lever like Nikon lenses, but less protruding and tad bit difficult to touch and turn it.

2015 will see the release of the a7000.  It will include a new version of the 16-50 powerzoom dubbed version II with much improved quality.  The camera itself will feature full tethering capabilities, 4k video (uncompressed output), 1/8000 shutter speed, weather sealing, and maintain its rangefinder style.    Above all this, a new 16-70 zeiss will be released that will be weather sealed as well.  The 16-50 will not be weather sealed.
The sensor will be a new one, but still 24 mpx

Wanted to ask, any trigger/receiver set is compatible with Sony HVL F43M flashes? Looking for no TTL trigger solutions though.

The barrel distortion on this lens seems acceptable across all rage, applying fix didnt change much, so I leave it as is. Perspective warp persists because ultrawide.

i'm considering for months now, planning to get the 10-18mm F4, but the price is a big drawback from me. i need a UWA lens as i always shoot landscape.

any other option beside SEL1018? before i made my purchase this weekend hmm.gif

Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 :v
You may want to look at Samyang's wideangle too, if you dont mind MF.
Still SEL 10-18 is lightest and most compact.

i just google for the lens, it's so huge, guess it's more fit on DSLR, btw im using A6000 too
how much is the tokina lens? wait.... is this lens the same lens which canon/Nikon 's DSLR been using?  shocking.gif
so we need an adapter for A6000 mount? or it does come with e mount?

i love ur KLCC shoot, looks like it's snowing  wub.gif

Thanks~
Yes it is dslr lens, for A mount. I got LA-EA2 adapter for A mount lenses, may or may not suit your style :v
Bought it during KLPF for 1.85k new, ver.2

The reason I picked this over 10-18 is because of f2.8, and very well controlled distortion. Depends on your requirement again.
10-18 is very good for travel and light weight. Heard it's usable in FE as well, at 13mm. Plus OSS.

Still a6000+Tokina 11-16 lens:
