QUOTE(GameSky @ Aug 5 2014, 10:51 PM) whenever i launch antutu, it will ask for performance or balanced ... also i uninstalled those apps fine, tho o.O? you uninstalled? am sure i did uninstalled, but it reinstalled back after i reboot hp why need root only can make it permanent? better just dont allow me uninstall, instead auto reinstalling after during phone boot up well, i will do a factory reset and see how it goes This post has been edited by Zenobia: Aug 5 2014, 10:58 PM |

QUOTE(viqq @ Aug 5 2014, 11:21 PM) Which version? 4.8.1? i just installed maybe need tim to settle new rom. anyways, i jst got irritated for not able to uninstall google apps (hangout, playbook, etc) It didnt bother me as it simply means they got settings configuration right on. I got 35k on balance and 36k on performance in v14. Which means the balance mode and performance mode has no significant difference. The balance mode should've tuned down the phone a little bit in order to make room for more juice without compromising too much performance. If they both run the same performance, battery life won't have much diff right? Just set to performance mode and let the force be with you. *uninstalled, but whenever i reboot the phone, it will auto reinstall back during bootup. so confirmed need root so i can uninstalled these apps permanently? i kinda lazy to root this phone anyways This post has been edited by Zenobia: Aug 5 2014, 11:35 PM |

Hi guys, i quite not understand the instruction on how to root eventhough I've read several rooting guide thread. from the first page rooting guide,
"For the ROOT, we need to have: 1. The stable firmware (Mi3-WCDMA/CDMA or Mi3-WCDMA HK) installed in the 1st system of the smartphone. " Question; Am I need to download and flash firmware Mi3-WCDMA/CDMA or Mi3-WCDMA HK first before continue with the step below? Steps to get the ROOT: 1. Download the first script (1_MI3_WCDMA_stable_root.zip) on the phone, rename it to update.zip, place it in the root of the card. 2. Load in mi-recovery and flash it as normal firmware in the 1st partition without wipe, it takes 10-30 seconds. 3. Load in the first system. 4. Goin into the program and Permissions include ROOT. 5. Profit! what i want is, i just want to have root permission, and keep stable build v22. it is possible? I root xperia neo & n7000 before, but i dont understand mi3 rooting guide |

QUOTE(kamikraze @ Aug 9 2014, 04:43 PM) Yes u can root stable rom and which part is you not understand from the guide? your mi3 as default will boot to 1st system.. anything u do also will affect 1st system.. any change will affect your 2nd system only and only if u change to boot to 2nd system using Recovery mode.. what i dont understand is;1. Am i need to flash developer rom/other rom to root or after root? Can i just root KXDMIBF22.0 & install CWM & SU?? 2. I need to flash "The stable firmware (Mi3-WCDMA/CDMA or Mi3-WCDMA HK) installed in the 1st system of the smartphone." first, before proceed to install CWM and install SU?? It look like most of us here, rooted & flashed to developer rom. This post has been edited by Zenobia: Aug 9 2014, 06:39 PM |

QUOTE(Max2006 @ Aug 9 2014, 07:29 PM) Root or not to root, it depends on which rom you are using. as mentioned, it is malaysia stock rom, and it is locked. Just to confirm, if i direct install cwm, will work or not. i dont want to spend time to reflash again if it is not workin. If you are on stable rom/stock rom, check the root permission first. If it's locked, then you need to root it. If you are on the dev rom, you don't have to root it because it's root automatically in dev rom. QUOTE(nickchk89 @ Aug 9 2014, 07:49 PM) yeah, backup first, you should know how to go back to miui there are two thread; wipe data/factory wipe cache then flash it, then force it restart by press power button long long, dont choose ''restart now'' to restart it http://en.miui.com/thread-13682-1-1.html http://en.miui.com/thread-19405-1-1.html so am not sure which one should work for v22, MY rom. is there any mi3 user, success to root their v22 stock rom? |
