I wonder...will this latest stable Kitkat version force the Maxis users to give up their Maxis line and jump to other telcos so that they can utilize the Kitkat rom? I know this sound crazy, but I think this is possible....

QUOTE(deadravel @ Jul 23 2014, 11:34 AM) Wait..Did Xiaomi renamed the whole ROMs for countries besides China to be the same (ie: KXDMIBE18.0)? I guess they're really following Apple footsteps as it'll be faster to roll out updates but they seriously need to beef up the dev team, too many bugs early on |

QUOTE(apache_utara @ Jul 23 2014, 11:42 AM) Wait.. Yes. I already mentioned it yesterday that KXDMIBE18.0 is actually a Global update. I really hope that they will release a kitkat rom based on Malaysia rom. But I think this is nearly impossible now since Xiaomi wants to follow Apple's footsteps. Xiaomi used to be famous due to its caring towards fans' need. Hopefully this new move won't ruin the Xiaomi fans' loyalty to the brand.Did Xiaomi renamed the whole ROMs for countries besides China to be the same (ie: KXDMIBE18.0)? QUOTE(ngkhanmein @ Jul 23 2014, 11:44 AM) Why u so mad bro? Relax QUOTE(viqq @ Jul 23 2014, 11:44 AM) Dev ROM any better than conventional ROM? Or the other way around? I prefer Dev Rom as it's rooted & i need root access for few apps I found out that there's dual system boot in the Mi3? When I was in the recovery, I was given the option to choose boot to system 1 or system 2 Yes, it has 2 systems which consumes a bit space but gives you a sense of calm because in case anything happened (ie: bad installation), then can revert back to last working config QUOTE(deadravel @ Jul 23 2014, 11:45 AM) HERECan scroll for each region, all the same except China's version QUOTE(blackamikaze @ Jul 23 2014, 11:46 AM) i think they probably abandoned xiaomi altogether and buy different phone, because not everyone tech savvy enough Good strategy, streamlining the ROM for 1 version only but the bugs.. to downgrade the firmware. yes, after this the release for other countries will be the same for all. How can I clear it to save up space? it's dual boot for system bro, not dual boot for ROMs Same like Recovery in Windows where you revert back to last working config but in MIUI, it's already saved in system memory & ready to boot on the go |
