Maxis is your problem, u have 3 choices.

1.) Hard one - → Flash your phone to older rom.
2.) Intermediate one → Change to other phone meaning lossing money.
3.) Easy one → MNP to other Telco, save money, problem free.

If you're on Maxis then just let it be as latest KK 4.4.2 had compatability problem with Maxis line, you may experience drop call, Internet not working & etc

If you are on other Telco eg Umobile, Celcom (Digi not sure since no one feedback on it) you can plug the phone to PC & use Xiaomi software to update it thru reversed tethering (aka use computer Internet connection to update) I have done it & so far not a single problem after update ps. I am on Umobile.

Improvement on camera - no more auto focus problem, better low light photo.

Overall phone ia much smoother, lesser heat & run on lower ram.

Good luck.

ok updated info : Digi also no issues, so only Maxis problematic.

Pre loaded in your phone, just plug your phone to PC it will install.

Note : Current software in chinese only, in case you don't know chinese, good excuses to get a china girlfriend. ..lol

Aiyoh gua pengsan..

After plug in u will notice it open file explorer, go into the phone drive u will noticed a xiaomi software, just run it, the software will install automatically.

The update is at bottom right corner.

Remember don't update if you r using Maxis line as is not compatible.

After downloading the update phone will take some times to reboot, just let it be as this is quite a big update 450MB, don't simply unplug the phone till u see it reboot back to normal home screen.

U try & click2 the file inside the phone, one of them is to run the software ..holidays no time to to show you screen shot. ..lol

You r quite newbie in this, if the phone don't give problem just use JB 4.3 till OTA version re listed, I afraid later u might end up more problems you don't know how to solve.

This is latest version i updated by connecting to PC using Xiaomi software, it's Malaysia version come with Bahasa Melayu, many claimed it is Philippine version, if it is it should have Tagalog, which it's doesn't, if i am not mistaken Singapore & India also run on this version.

Seriously this KK rom is not suitable for Maxis user in certain Klang Valley / Selangor area..........

At a point of time i almost throw my phone to the floor.. and I feel you now for those who using MAXIS and flashed to KK ROM.

it is almost 2 week now, still no solution given, hopefully they can speed it up after raya..

again my advise for Maxis user, if you are in JB 4.3 (or stable rom 14,) please stay where you are....
unless you want give a try and go through this.. ( some Maxis user no problem at all but most of them having the above issue like what i mention.. Location: Klang Valley (70%) or Selangor (80%)

I faced some data connection problem too yesterday especially after 4pm, try out my other Umobile line on Samsung mega same thing, took out the sim from mi3 put it in another samsung phone same thing, had my dinner at next 2 taman problem solved but data connection still slow, I think too many user, my taman packed with balik kampung car, i think nowadays is no longer balik kampung more like hopping from one part of bandaraya to next part, thinking switch to Umobile coz less user, I think now no longer the case ..hehe

Anyway any way to have the phone permanently lock to Umobile line rather than roam to Maxis ??

Noticed LED pulse light only works on SMS, Whatsapp, email but not on missed call, didn't noticed until someone mentioned it in another forum, as missed call will get sms so light still blink.

My works just fine, i am on KK 4.4.2 & seem the language swap chinese/english configuration a bit different, need to tap the top part to swap language instead of the globe like previous JB 4.3.

She already post it earlier, V21 China Kitkat 4.4.2 Rom, so quite difficult for us to advice as most of us using either Malaysia/Philippines/Taiwan Rom.

Bought from China so wanna sent to SC also susah..

Maybe try delete & re install Google Pinyin Keyboard.

Solution - prolonged the long press timing or activate prevent pocket dial function.

Actually i find it more convenient than other phone need to unlock, scroll to page & activate the torch widget.
