i believe people with dev rom also reported the same problem with maxis. Only stable JB rom is okay
with maxis.
*
I've got no issues with Maxis (Sabah), but the thing is if I should install Dev Rom to see any extra benefits?

More and more issues it seem with the latest update. I hope they can fix this as quickly as possible. Else, we just have to revert back to Jelly Bean. Anyone still has the link to the old official Malaysia Stable ROM?

Seems like antutu benchmark score significantly lower with this new ROM. 29k compared to 36k.
*
Clear memory first, then go to Settings , set battery to High Performance and try again. I think this time they got the settings right. Balanced mode is suppose to be 20k ish IMO, that way baru save battery if they clock down the processor a bit.

Okay..just now update latest firmware. Current issue face now..drop call.
My telco UMobile a.k.a backbone is Maxis..what i now lahhh. Read earlier
post..Maxis user have problem..Drop Call/Disconnect

Need revert back firmware or any special trick/command to solve this ?.
*
You can either revert back to JB 4.3 or try installing DEV Rom. DEV rom is much easier to install compared to reverting back though, since it's considered as update.

Just got my mi3 today. But there's no update for Kit Kat.

I'd say don't update first. Many here have problems with Maxis signal / call drops problem and some users have reporting GPS problem.

For those wanting to do a downgrade can refer to this page:
http://en.miui.com/thread-21325-1-1.html

The only question is, where can we download the previous stable ROM?

Seems like it's been removed.
I don't have any new updates in the UPDATER anymore.
Is it just mine or anyone else facing this.

Stable ROM or Dev ROM?

What version are u on? Mind telling us?

By the way, after going DEV Rom I think I don't want to go back. This should be the real MIUI. Dang.

u check ur mi3. which  version are u on.
previous one without the MAXIS drop call prob is JXDMYBD14.0
latest one is KXDMIBE18.0
*
Nice info. I almost forgot which version I was on.

It seem like there's no place to download the JXDMYBD14.0 version. Enlighten me if you find any links to it. TQVM.

Thanks for the DEV Rom earlier. I've updated to the latest weekly update. New wallpaper and it seems they've flatten the interface, just like what Apple did to iOS 7.

Happened to me even before update. I turned off WiFi optmization & reinstalled whatsapp. either one did the trick.

No need. Just straight forward use the MIUI updater. Scroll back a few pages back. There's a link there.

I'm afraid the process to revert back to older JB rom is not as straight forward as it seems. It's kinda tedious.
*
No, he wanted to install DEV rom. (KitKat to KitKat)

Reverting back to JB can have two methods basically, one is using fastboot method, the other one being CMW method.

Download MiFlash, flash the required fastboot ROM, and the Stable ROM (to be renamed update.zip)

Just follow the step by step: http://en.miui.com/thread-21325-1-1.html

Depending on your computer skills & knowledge, it be dangerous if you don't know what you are doing.

Hi guys, I'm just thinking, what the Dev Rom track records are like? Is it always the newer the better?

By the way, so if next update say Android L came out, I can just straight update it to stable ROM or do I need to revert back to stable ROM first before I can make any updates?

The KitKat release really spoiled everything. What were they thinking before releasing?

By the way if they release a new update can i just simply update from dev rom? Or must i revert my phone back to stable rom first?

As much as i like the dev rom, i fear that they might void our warranty for installing dev rom.

If i apply the update everything have to backup and sync back or everything is intact?

Everything will be intact. But no harm backing up just in case if anything happens.
