I realized that the Miui rom problem with Maxis already existed since June. Apparently, after the Maxis users updated to Dev rom KXCDNBE18.0, the signal drop issues occured to most Maxis users.

Do you notice the dev rom version KXCDNBE18.0? Quite similar to our latest kitkat stable version KXDMIBE18.0, right? No wonder the Maxis users faced the similar issues after updating to Kitkat KXDMIBE18.0. This is simply because the new global rom is based on that problematic version KXCDNBE18.0, which is still not yet solved until now.

The only way to get rid of this is to stick to the malaysia stable rom  JXDMYBD14.0. Do take note that this is only happened to Maxis users. If you are using the phone to do important business with clients, do not attempt to update to the latest kitkat rom. If not, you may end up losing your customers. No kidding.

It's not me. It's the other maxis users who complained in the other thread in miui forum. I can't confirm this problem since i am still stick to the JB version. I made such conclusion (on how the Maxis users having problem with the latest update) based on the discussion in that other thread.  May be some Maxis users are lucky enough and didn't encounter any issue. But since the complaints are there, then I think it's true that maxis line is somehow not compatible to latest Miui rom, and we should not ignore it.

Planning to buy mi3 via their site.. is the price is show ad the site? Mi3 only rm700+? After I sucess get to order, is there any import duty,  shipping fee etc other charges?

For those who encounter major bugs, perhaps you can do download a fastboot rom to flash your phones.(Data will be loss)  But do hold on while we ask in the official MIUI forum regarding if we flash the fastboot rom ourself, and incase we mess up and the phone soft brick, will it void the warranty?

I also find it weird that people still on Maxis. By now I assume nobody in Maxis already unless company pay one.

Just ask all the Mi3 user on maxis line to give ultimatum to Maxis either they do something or all MNP to other Telco..

BTW why still insist stay on maxis, i don't find their line is any better then other while their charges is more expensive.

Other than the occasionally lagging when typing, it is consider stable.
ohya, my mikey still lags. a friend advised me to use 360 instead. it was fine for the first few days, after that also lag...

i just passed the phone to my dad (downgraded to v14, due to v18 issues)... now v22 (i suppose it will pushes via OTA) oso got issues. how u expect my old folk dealing with all these firmware glitches?

haiyo... my personal experience when i upgrade and downgrade to v14->v18->v14.. i think something really not going well with their firmware updater. same recovery method used, but i experienced 2 different outcome. hang at boot screen, gapps all gone (mine purchase via xiaomi malaysia) and etc. end up no choice but to flash the rom via miflash thru a pc.

really hope xiaomi can buck up on the patches release process. i don't face this with sxmsung, sxny, htx nor 1+1
