fyi, my friend have zenfone5, he also have phone call drop issues, and asus say is telco(umobile) problems, so i suspect also is maxis(3G) problems...

why don't you try to use your phone on 2G onday and see if you are still facing this problem?

But when my phone hv this network issue,
I just knock it at the back

If i don't do it, the prob will continue to reappear 3-5 times

From the teardown, looks like mi3 is using a single thin coaxial antenna


Maybe the connector is loose, so when you knock it, it fixes itself

Can we merge system one and system two in recovery? Is it will take phone storage space to save second version of miui in phone?

i think i would give 4.5 coz the camera abit lousy

for me I give 3 stars, 1 for being cheap, 1 for good hardware, 1 for beautiful ROM.. the other 2 lost star is for lousy signal reception & speaker location is so wrong..

True oso. i deduct another 0.5 down to 4 point coz signal lousy.

about the speaker, I mean when I put horizontal (or vertical) while playing Clash of Clan, the sound completely blocked by my hand.. even tho I put 90% volume already.. sometimes I don't even realize that the sound is on.. LOL

But just that iphone speaker slightly higher volume than Mi3.

Bad signal, the software is not perfect, camera performance is inconsistent.

But hey, it's just RM769. Not even a competitor at this price point.

ill give mi3 - 3.5 star

1.5 star reduce becuz:

1. camera focusing problem
2. MIUI stable rom not so stable and
some very minor problem will cause alot of trouble for user experience, for example the contacts need +60 problem.

3.phone design (corner)

For rm769, closest competitor is the Lenovo Vibe Z AP set going for rm700+ also.

Overall I'll give it 4/5 for a rm700+ phone, there is almost no competition. It's not perfect but then which phone is?

The design is unique enough to warrant attention, few times my friends ask me what phone is it when just putting it on the table or using it. User experience is good overall, easy to use and faster than phones costing twice the price in responsiveness, case in point Samsung S5. Speakers can be improved and bezels can be reduced for a more friendly grip.
