Hi all Sifu notworthy.gif

Need some advice on the Kawasaki Z800.

Been thinking to upgrade my bike to higher CC so it came i have 2 options

1 - Kawasaki ER6f
2 - Kawasaki Z800

Currently im using Kawasaki 250R

Been research that Kawasaki 250R and Kawasaki ER6f Maintenance and Parts price are almost same and wont go far.

Okay here are the main point hope all sifu can advice me to pick which bike.

1 - It is for daily use, travel distance are around 50 Km per day

2 - Dose Kawasaki Z800 easy to Maintain?

3 - Any important issue about Z800?

4 - Er6f and Z800 which one are suitable for daily use?

Thanks
Cheers

Thanks all Sifu for the advice

I also been check on the price for normal service on those Bike i get shock when i heard those price

1 - ER6 Rm 250 - 350 Include (EO,Air Filter,Oil Filter and Plug)

2 - Z800 Rm 500 - 600 Include (EO,Air Filter,Oil Filter and Plug)

So i already make up mind will stick on ER6f since i going to use it daily to work. The price with my current 250R the parts and service really not that far i still can manage.

If for Z800 i use it daily i think it will kill my wallet coz i will service my bike every 3 months when reach 4000KM. Service + Installment really can kill me.

Thanks all but i hope still got more advice from all Sifu-Sifu

Cheers

Plug - Rm 50 per pc x 2 (Twin Cam mah) using iridium (Can last at least 8 months till a year)

Air Filter - Normal is around Rm 30 - Rm 50 normally need to change everytime u service but i advice change to K&N Air Filter it can last till 100000 KM before you replace a new one or clean it cost are Rm 350 - Rm 400

wow seem very expensive the maintenance need change a lot things. Is it carburetor and fuel injection same type of maintenance? How long u been use the bike?

I been using my bike for 4 and a half years so far so good for me.

Er6f maintenance fee is not far compare with 250r that why is time for to upgrade .

For beginner in super bike 250r is the best way to start first, if u got budget just go Er6 sweat.gif

Both are the same the different are only the fuel system.

Those part I mention is tear and wear part usually will replace.

Make sure if you purchase the ER6, it has gone through Kawasaki Health Check (Valve). Many members screwed up their engine before even the Kawasaki Health Check because of the low quality valve used in ER6 model.

I have been ridding the ER6 for few months before changing to Z800.

Actually it depends, if your going to get the bike for long term then go for Z800. But if you want something small and want to upgrade in 1-2 years time then get the ER6 first.

The power deliver in ER6 is more than enough actually but if you prefer a 4 inline sound plus rough look of the bike, go for Z800. flex.gif

Just went in for service. Changed my oil to IPONE Fully Synthetic (3 + 1/2 bottle), K&N Oil Filter & K&N Air Filter. The engine was way smoother and better.  rclxms.gif

Good luck in getting your bike  thumbup.gif

Thanks a lot on ur advice I was curious about the health check. So on Z800 valve are better quality right? If I not wrong it got 16 valve 4valve per piston sweat.gif

Dose z800 need to do the health check as well? By the way do u know the cost of the health check on ER6?

Ya I'm thinking for a long term usages coz this is the last time I got my permission to upgrade that's why I been headache rclxub.gif

ER short for easy rider so if you like speed and play red RPM with nice sound just go for z8. if you use more to work with cheap maintanance and sometime bring your wife/gf to convoi better take er6, kesian dia sakit bontot nanti naik z8, it's just my exp with my wife.

Thanks for the advice but lucky my wife didnt want to convoi even i untill now didnt joined a convoi event. sweat.gif
