An unqualified apology on the other hand is a statement of fact
"I am sorry for what I did. There is no excuse whatsoever for it and I am prepared to face the consequences for my action"
As long as u don't laugh and giggle saying it, everyone will believe it
Not sound remorseful when u say
"That was a new Car, I worked very hard for it. It had sentimental value and I am so sorry for it. I will cooperate with the Police, etc"
The first part is an attempt to justify the action and tarnishes the apology but then again, the mind chooses to believe what it wants to believe
