"Polis memandang serius perkara ini dan sedang menjalankan siasatan terperinci mengikut Seksyen 427 Kanun Keseksaan kerana perbuatan khianat dan Seksyen 506 Kanun Keseksaan kerana ugutan jenayah," katanya.

"Polis akan ambil tindakan sewajarnya walaupun warga emas tersebut difahamkan telah memaafkan perbuatan wanita berkenaan.

"Kita tidak mahu rakyat Malaysia jadi seperti ini, tidak berdisiplin di jalan raya dan menjadi pembuli jalanan.

"Perkara seperti ini tidak wajar dijadikan budaya dalam masyarakat walaupun ini kes terpencil tetapi polis tetap anggap ia serius," katanya.

Dalam masa yang sama, katanya polis juga sudah mengeluarkan saman trafik kepada warga emas terbabit di atas kesalahannya itu.

Sementara itu, beliau menasihatkan orang ramai agar tidak memberi komen negatif mengenai insiden ini di laman sosial.

"Serahkan kepada pihak polis untuk menyiasatnya dan kita akan ambil tindakan selepas siasatan. Orang ramai tak perlu nak komen lebih-lebih," katanya.

Bagi pertuduhan di bawah seksyen 506 Kanun Keseksaan, jika sabit kesalahan, tertuduh boleh dihukum penjara maksimum tujuh tahun atau denda atau kedua-duanya sekali. Manakala bagi pertuduhan di bawah seksyen 427 Kanun Keseksaan, jika sabit kesalahan, tertuduh boleh dihukum penjara maksimum dua tahun atau denda atau kedua-duanya sekali.

I would like to applaud the reactions from Malaysians (especially Malays) towards her. even tho she is malay u all no give her face. after the rise of ISMA n d lack of action of our leaders n PDRM towards them, all hope seemed to be lost in the eyes of Non Malays.

It shows that ppl can still be rational n look beyond race.
