QUOTE(Clement1001 @ Jul 17 2014, 11:03 AM) iPad4 battery capacity is 11,560. 5200mah pb should be able to charge abt 40%. Also ipad4 original charger charge at 2.1amp while 5200pb charge at 1amp. Is it possible you left your ipad4 on with background activity? If there is any activity running, with 1amp charging, it might consume a large amount of battery that comes in from the charger. |

My PB 5200Mah are fully charged, theoretically i would expect around 40% from my ipad 4 also, but to bad it doesn't happen that way. You guys can try it out and share whats the outcome.

You guys can try it out and share whats the outcome. No you can't expect that. It's about the efficiency. No powerbank in this world has 100% efficiency. Even the charging circuit on your iPad can't be 100% efficient. There must be power loss here and there. Besides that, you have to factor in that the USB output is at 5V voltage while battery is normally at 3.7V and max out at 4.2V. I came across a formula before, the actually capacity you can actually get on your device is just around 70% of the max capacity. Can be less. You really can't expect 5200mAh powerbank to give you 5200mAh out of 11600mAh battery in the iPad 4. Besides that, is your iPad powered on? I believe yes. That is another factor too. Powerbank is not an unlimited source of electricity unlike the power socket in your house. QUOTE(hotjake @ Jul 17 2014, 11:37 AM) Wow... Seriously? That will be interesting! |

Are charging while using are what? iPad 4 have 11560mAh of battery, and Xiaomi PB 5200mAh, so if theoretical works, from 0%-40% should use 4624mAh. |

QUOTE(IwanAGP @ Jul 17 2014, 11:55 AM) No you can't expect that. OK lets say 5200mAH, with 70% efficiency = 3640mAH. Then with Ipad power on, it reduce again 80% from 3640mAH = 2548mAH. So the max capacity for an Ipad to be charge up, are only up to around 22%. But still im getting less than that. Correct me if im wrong. It's about the efficiency. Next time, switch off ipad and then charge it using a recently charged full 5.2K pb, then see how it goes. No point guessing esp when we don't know what is running with ipad on. |

QUOTE(Clement1001 @ Jul 17 2014, 12:45 PM) I won't be bother charging ipad 4 with 5.2k pm anyway as I know its charging amp is only 1, way too slow. Precisely why I bought (on the way) 10k pb with its 2amp charging rate along with its closer ipad full capacity. |
