Is 3k discount a good deal? What is the best deal one can expect at the end of the year?

QUOTE(jfree @ Nov 5 2014, 03:18 PM) 3k discount is the official discount Honda Malaysia give for the month of November: http://www.honda.com.my/promotions/promotions_details/39 The SA introduced from my friend just say 3k rebate without offering any other gifts(tint, full tank etc etc). Luckily didn't approach that SA because it feels like the package offered isn't worth it.I'd try talk to the sales agent and ask for more discount from their company. |

QUOTE(jfree @ Nov 5 2014, 03:59 PM) IMHO I do not think free gifts like tinting & full tank of fuel is worthwhile la, might as well ask for more cash rebate. Often the free tint that they offer might be of low quality. At least with the cash in your hand, you know what you are getting for the cash that you pay for the tints. I agree, thanks. Guess I'll skip till next year. |

QUOTE(jfree @ Nov 5 2014, 04:23 PM) Beginning of next year maybe no more rebate d? Well I am not sure tbh. Maybe need other taikors to answer. The rebate is to offset the depreciation value since it's you buy the car and drive it for only less than 2 months. at 3k it just isn't high enough to offset the depreciation.Imagine the car is only 2 months old but by January next year it's considered a 2 year old car. |

QUOTE(jfree @ Nov 5 2014, 05:24 PM) What about 5K rebate? Cars depreciate anyway, if you are gonna own it for more than 5-6 years, there isn't a lot of difference between a 2014 and 2015 car. My plan is to change cars every 5 years when the free service almost ends. If I buy this year by year 2019 it will be considered as a 6 year car, while buying it at the beginning of 2015 by 2019 it will considered as a 5 year car.5k rebate acceptable la, at least it matches the depreciation value of between 5% to 10% for first year. Anything less than that it's considered a lost. |

QUOTE(Alexcsyan @ Nov 6 2014, 11:19 AM) although yr end u only able 2 drive around 2 months max & pass nx yr will b another yr car... but, cash rebate for those buyer who is lack of downpayment is a good point of getting a new car with less cash payment. i m 1 of it so i know how it feels... The rebate is on the amount of downpayment needed or the final price of the car? |

What to ask the following questions as I might get my city V soon.
1. Bodykits - what's original modulo bodykit made from? PP, PU or ABS? Does any 3rd party sellers that sell the original\OEM bodykits that's cheaper than Honda Malaysia? Does the foot light and illuminated side step available 3rd party without making any changes to the wiring? 2. Tinting - what's the original tint VLT% of newly out of factory City? Any guidelines to follow for tinting so long that it meets JPJ rules? 3. Is the auto lock and side mirror fold plug and play and available in accessories shop? 4. What kind of security features (eg: steering lock) is plug and play and recommended for this car? Thanks. This post has been edited by Slowpokeking: Nov 20 2014, 12:44 PM |

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Nov 20 2014, 01:57 PM) Original Honda has tinted:- front windscreen VLT is 88%, side windows VLT is 94% while the rear windows is 94% VLT. So what's the highest VLT tint allowed for the tints for windshiled, front side tint, behind passenger tint and rear windows?I read about the calculations somewhere but totally forgot about it. |
