want to ask city owner here, so far this car already more then 3 month, anyone can share abt this car experience ah such as petrol comsumption, driving ah, service ah......
thanks for the sharing smile.gif. plan to buy smile.gif

Hi linkokkeen, petrol consumption is OK as compare to previous version of Honda City 5 speed conventional transmission. Driving experience is awesome as you can't feel the shift shock when you accelerate to cut queue to another lane. Service wise is depends on which SC you send your car in. Different SC have different way to treat your car. In terms of warranty claims, better send it back to originated SC to service as they will have a kind of attitude that push the responsibility to here and there in which to avoid parts replacement to our car. Send it back to the SC that you purchased the car is worrying free...

A pillar cover making some noise at low speed.
Door panel n window noise.

Both on driver side.

My 13 year old car also doesn't make such noise. Crap...

Hi ahsam1212, so far any resolution on this matter? Have you sent your car in to rectify this issue already?

The car just came down from the trailer. After their inspection, they will help me send for tinted. Then after that only I can check my car thoroughly. But I read somewhere that we are able to inspect the car before they officially register the car under our name.
*
Hi Skeletonman, I'm the one that inspect the car first before registration with JPJ for the car being assigned to me. But this 1 need to insisted the SA to let you visit the car garage. Otherwise, you can't really know which car that assigned to you as well as further checking on each components. tongue.gif

Yea I guess you are the one..I just inspected the gap. The gap at both driver sides does not exist but I'm quite annoyed with the gap the the place where we put our cup. There seemed to be gap but the Honda SA told me it's normal. I even check two other cars and they are the same. Any insight on this?
*
This one need to send in for readjustment during your 1k service. As long as the gap is not unevenly distribute still will not make your eye fatigue on it. smile.gif

I think this one is upgradable HU to all specs, since the price is ridiculous. Maybe if software update just need topup a little bit? LOL

Edit : If look closely, this HU unit is totally different compared to the HU unit V spec. You can see the power, vol up and vol down is on the left side (on the website) while the power, vol up and vol down is on the right hand side (V spec)
*
For those who buy V Spec. If upgrade to this package need to top up another RM3,220. The price is ridiculous and the only add on are Navigation, DVD capabilities as well as surfing the Internet. Others function are the same and did not come with reverse camera. Outside can get more advance complete set with only RM2k ++.

Hey all, I just got my city E spec M steel two days back. I do have slight gap issue at the dashboard passenger site but still it is still acceptable to my eyes. But rattling starts appearing as soon as I drove over bumpy road. Also can I know izzit normal to have loud NVH? I felt the road noise is terrible especially at the back passenger seat. Can hear the tyre's noise. If it is normal, is there any kinda insulation that I can do to overcome this road noise?
*
By changing your original Good Year tyres from GT3 to Continental CC5, Yokohama AE01 or Michelin Pilot Sport 3 will resolved the insulation issue. Stock car come with low quality tyres that makes the overall car experience worst. Trade in your existing tyres and replace with this good tyres will change the driving experience. Rattling sound issue can resolve by sending your car in for Service during 1k. Preferable during weekdays service as Honda senior technician will be available for further checking on the car matters.

Did my first 1000km inspection on saturday. They said on saturday cant entertain complain due to lot of customer. My only complain is the rattling sound below stering. They told me make an appointment and come back on weekday. Coz checking the source will need to take long time. Im suprisingly that the 1k inspection only took them about 10 mins to finish. Huh so damn fast????
*
Hi jusTinMM, did they put a remark there and requested you to come back for service during weekdays? My car just service on last weekend and they help me solve the rattling sound issue on steering column. Reason is due to the plastic and metal compartment did not lock properly and the technician will dismantle the plastic and reinstall back in correct position. Now no more rattling sound on steering column and the next minor sound happened on driver side door panel in which I will raise during 10k service on next year.

Can I not wait till 1K service for the rattling sound? Quite annoying as 1K is after one month (I wont be able to reach 1K in a month). How much can we get if we trade in our good year tyre?
*
Hi Skeletonman, is follow your 1k or 1 month service whichever come first. Even you drive the car only 300km for instance, you're required to send in your car for service if your service due date is that day. Previously I also can hear steering column and door panel rattling sound but after done the service, no sound already.

ops..i did not see any remark in my receipt...if i make an appointment before 10k service...is there any charges from sc?
sigh...this morning just found another problem, the front passenger seat bottom behind, the seat fabric did not cover properly, i can see the inside brown cushion...  sad.gif
*
This one I not sure. As long as have remark, then the technician have to solve it. Otherwise they might charge you. For the seat cover, you can adjust manually by unzipping the cover and DIY yourself to correct fitting. smile.gif

Same for me.

I sent my first inspection on last Sunday. They said the same thing and need to wait until 10,000km inspection. Waiting time was long because queuing up. And nothing they have done for my 1K km inspection. Is it normal for it? Even engine oil or whatever also didnt change.
*
Hi huiyu, for rectification on rattling sound and others faulty area. It is advisable to be arrange on weekdays instead of weekends as the technician is very busy on handling each customer car. Weekdays have plenty of time to inspect the car and the traffic is clear. biggrin.gif

According to the maintenance schedule, a lot of things need to be inspect also. I'm still not believe that 10minutes including driving time from car park to service bay and return to car park can kautim.  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif  rclxub.gif
*
Where got 10 minutes settled everything one. Registration already take up 5 minute, send car to service and check all the light, engine compartment whether got leaking and fix some rattling sound already take 35 minutes at least. Upon collect the receipt, is alrdy 1 hours ++. Your SA did not done the job properly and simply OK with the car.

Hi

You mean i am advisable to make a separate arrangement to file complain for my car's faulty area and no need to wait until 10K km service?

Weekdays is troublesome to us as we need to work oh.
*
Hi Huiyu, you go to any SC also the same. Weekdays able to resolve the technical issues while weekends only for normal services. It is the SOP for them to given to customer. Unless you purchase Continental car then the service given will be different.

the 10minutes count from car park to service bay, inspect ONLY and back to car park. this is why i feel something not right.
*
Not so fast one la. My Honda SC inspect every element and somemore eject the car up for bottom inspection to ensure no leaking nor bolts loose until next service. 10 minutes services done is too short and I vote no confident on the exact services being carried out. By the way, did they wash your car during 1k service?

i will get my car in a week after waiting for almost 3 months. but the problem now is when i ask my SA to do some QC with the car, since i read many complains regarding the dashboard gap but she said she's busy. Then i wanted to go myself to check the car b4 register but she said no need lar. It depends on luck laa. If u get a good car then u are lucky. Those minor problem later fix laa.  vmad.gif  vmad.gif

aiyaaaa. what to do eh? rclxub.gif

If a salesperson just working in Honda SC not long ago, where got power to liaise with their sales manager to allow you to enter into their car garage for inspection? Previously I liaise with their sales manager then only allow for only me attend while the rest of the customer is similar like your case, waiting the fortunate car to be collect on the day.

Buy car more or less will encounter this issue. To ensure you get a good car, send an email to your SA on your concern and insisted for an inspection or else reported your concern to their superior, which is Sales Manager which will give you an opportunity to visit your new car. Problem solved yet worth for every penny you spend on it. smile.gif

To me I love the car to the max, just that the annoying rattling sound. Everything about it is good! Smooth gear transmission, unnoticeable engine sound (not flooring the pedal), cooling aircond and not forgetting the space in it! 5 fellas in the car and yet it does not feel underpower. Unlike my dad's vios, this feels much better  rclxms.gif
*
Yup. I agreed on what you say on Honda City. Smooth acceleration, spacious interior, good insulation and almost forget to drive on high speed. But on the downside, to ensure we fully appreciated our car condition, rattling sound issue MUST resolve and let us enjoy the long journey without any interruption on sounds.

Wash car is provided for free if you go to Kah Motor Selayang to have a service. For my case, they did not wash my car and just do some inspection only.
