QUOTE(Ree73 @ Aug 14 2014, 04:45 PM) police wont accept this report also la. anything below $500 damage... cannot claim insurance This price is reasonable. Will consider to apply in future as currently need to spend more money to buy good steerling lock and tint the car.you can go for 12H coating, but no guarantee on will not scratch at all. 12H will be around rm2500 for city maybe you can ask the coat ppl, 12H mean can protect what lvl of attack? |

QUOTE(Ree73 @ Aug 14 2014, 05:03 PM) Hi Ree73, I had set RM10k for a budget to add accessories for the car. Any recommendation for a good steerling lock? As I found from ENEOS the best one is cost RM260 with leather cover on top of the sterling lock. Look nice and if someone touch the sterling lock, horns will apply to it... |

QUOTE(Ree73 @ Aug 14 2014, 03:30 PM) Coating - kind of treatment to have longer lasting wax to your car, give better protection plus easily maintenance. Coating usually come with 1 to 5 years of warranty. There are titanium, Teflon, crystal coat. Some might need returning for touch up every 6 months etc. Some do not need. The most high end coating like adding hardness later to the paint. Existing new car pain with rating of 3H. Some coating can go to 6H, 9H and 12H. It will always cheaper if you go for coating & tint that are offer as a package. Welcome to contact me for the detail. More coating techniques here : http://malaysiamari.blogspot.com/2013/04/c...on-coating.html but this is published 1 year back, some coating like gtechniq, gdox and many more not included. To me, coating is just a burned in wax that last longer. Waxing - add a layer of wax to protect your car. The wax can wear off 2 to 3 months based on usage and environment effects. Polishing - to remove the wax content/ smoothen the layer to remove swivel. After the polish process, need to wax it. All these are my own summary of understanding In your case. You can choose to tint 1st or coat 1st. To me is better tint 1st only coat. Tint will need 4 hours and coat might take 4 hours to 1 full day or 2 days. Hi jusTinMM, seems like my suggestion to Honda Malaysia do worth for the waiting...they finally import the car and part from Thailand to resolve the long queue waiting list already. This batch should receive a good car. Hopefully....you guys using any additional car lock? can recomend me which is better? thanks. |

hi guys,
how secure is the new city? are those pedal lock absolutely necessary? seems to be that it defeats the purpose of having push start when you still need to take out your key to unlock the pedal lock... understand that it is a deterrent but with keyless entry and start, is it still that easy to duplicate your keys? or is it similar to european cars that it has immobilizer function built in? I understand that if any thief has an intention of stealing our car, it is as good as gone regardless whatever security we have but i'd like to know without those pedal lock, is it relatively still safe? QUOTE(mavericksam @ Aug 14 2014, 05:30 PM) hi guys, Any additional security is deterrent...thieves always choose the easiast target. You want to be the easy target? how secure is the new city? are those pedal lock absolutely necessary? seems to be that it defeats the purpose of having push start when you still need to take out your key to unlock the pedal lock... understand that it is a deterrent but with keyless entry and start, is it still that easy to duplicate your keys? or is it similar to european cars that it has immobilizer function built in? I understand that if any thief has an intention of stealing our car, it is as good as gone regardless whatever security we have but i'd like to know without those pedal lock, is it relatively still safe? If choose pedal lock, don't get those with the start switch wire bypass (the start wire mapped to the lock). Have one in my Inspira...got problem after 3 years, the switch spoiled, can't start car, have to rewire the start button wire directly to the dashboard controllers....my City also installed pedal lock, but my SA recommend not to install those bypass wire type to avoid voiding warranty. Good idea. Physical detterent is enough...this additional bypass wire does nothing but cause problem when it breaks!!! If can find more stickers like "This car is protected by BLAH BLAH", stick one or two of those on your screen. Fake em. Thieves will think you have additional level of security...(even if you don't).... But don't plaster 10 stickers like that lar...sure know you are trying to blow water.... Hi neko shikacho, may I know where is selling this product? I'm interested on it especially the T-Rex ultimate. Understand that it can detect vibration when someone push or pull your car... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A2Xy5mRooDg |

Hi Honda City Owners, someone had done their 10k service and here is the problem being highlighted during second service with all the price listed for the parts replacement and labor cost apply for it. Which is consider high cost for maintenance on 10k service as compare with Honda listed price on schedule maintenance via Honda official websites.

QUOTE(Jeffreynsx @ Aug 14 2014, 04:27 PM) Hi Ree73, my living place there got animal and wild kids in which like to scratch people car. Sometimes motorcycle cross by if the place too narrow, they will force themselves to passby and have higher chance to get scratch for a new car. Therefore, I had search for a solution into it... Put some oil on the car body, when they scrath , muka licin and they will slip away. |
