Hi, im a new ToS Eng version player.

I got Dreadful Cthulhu from diamond draw. Never bother to reroll.
Then i got Randeng as 2nd diamond draw. (i stopped from drawing diamond cards to save up diamonds for later draw).

I plan to keep Cthulhu as for beast deck. And Randeng... well, for now its the team leader and i set it as Ally.

My original plan is to wait for 7 days then got Earth Paladin... as my main character is Duncan. Then set Earth Pala to be leader.

My current team is Randeng Lv.11 (Leader), Dreadful Cthulhu Lv.12, Waterdrop Slime Lv.1 (for skill upgrade for Cthulhu).
Team cost = 19/19
Ally = Randeng

So, right now, should i level max randeng 1st (and evolve if got the chance), or Cthulhu 1st?

HP = 1788
ATK = 940
REC = 211

Well it is actually quite hard to tell you which to level first as overall too less card to choose.
But for beginner beast team is quite easy to form up if compare to others. As the skill level can be train as well and low CD turn stone skill is very useful at early stage or back stage as well.

I forget how I did it when i started. But you need to draw few more card in order to decide which is your first team but usually you might change to other team as depends on what card you get.

It's true but it actually got eng version as well. Just that more people playing on the Chinese version I think.

Level up Randeng first, it has a better leader skill after evolving to 6 stars.

Since you just started this game, I would suggest you to reroll, Randeng is not a good leader card. Get a Greek God (good) or Norse God (better) or Eastern Gods (best). But the Eastern Gods series is difficult for start up because they require a lot experience to level up.

If you choose to restart the game, choose Molly (water main character), water paladin is a much better card, it's leader skill very useful.

I tried reroll and spend free diamonds like crazy..
I pick molly as main character.. got Baphomet(*5) from 1st D.draw, and Fortune Teller Verdandi(*4) in 2nd D.draw.
Now i think this deck is better than my other with randeng+cthulhu (duncan main).

Thing is, i stumbled between water paladin leader skill
and earth paladin leader skill . ToS forumer mentioned if u got earth pala as leader, any deck would be fine..

Means, i got better deck in molly than duncan. But i prefer earth pala leader skill than water pala. But both decks have cthulhu / bapho for each team as i can build beast team for a while.

I wont suggest pala as starting as it can obtain in the stages later. Kind of waste. LOL.

I personally start with Greek card. Poseidon.

Most players in CoC are playing in English mode and LYN is English forum, and it is more popular and addicted than TOS.


Ya, Chinese version has more players than English version. I have stopped my English version even though it has the fire Norse god as the leader card... no time for 2 versions, and it is very confusing.

Actually I need to google on single post. Example I need to find what's paladin is and also your Norse god.

After evolving water paladin to 5 stars, the leader skill become "When HP is more than 50%, the next Damage received will not kill you" which is very useful for boss level.

Verdandi is a must have card and it is very good to team up with water paladin. Water paladin protect you from dying and Verdandi sucks the blood out of the enemy. That's what I used for most of my boss battles before I get my first Greed god, Poseidon.

but what do you need from poseidon?
It's Action skill,
or Leader skill?

If i go with water pala as leader, then maybe poseidon is for the team and its action skill after cd?

Actually i play this when my chinese friend suggests this game coz he can't read chinese words. Dont ask why, i wonder about it too coz his father also cant read chinese words. lel. I think its same as for those malays that cant read jawi. lel

LOL. It's ok to discuss in English, just it make me confuse at first, but sooner or later I'll get use to it.

Poseidon is a leader card, because his leader skill as you know is whenever you break 4 stone it will become 1 strong stone. But when that card evolve into 6 star, It become when you break 3 stone it will turn 1 high stone out. So if both of your leader are Poseidon, there will be 2 strong stone when you break 3 water stone.

And his active skill is useful as well and most of the time are used on boss level or you just want to make sure the monster is dead after you move your stone. And also remember that once you use the active skill towards monster, the dmg will be higher and higher each time you attack. But it will be cancel once you din attack him with water element attack.

Oh yea, I use Wikia all the time. Good info and tidy and most important accurate.

My first card is Light Novice (that time I thought it is a very good start up card, lol), so I started with beast team, it brought me up to The Third Seal.

As for your team, you don't have to use water paladin as a leader for normal stages. For now, Molly & Baphomet is better leader card with 2X attack. The most important thing is to train up your Baphomet to reduce its CDs, as in the team, it should tied up with a Dark Slime (covert Light stones to Heart Stones) before you get Dark Novice.
