QUOTE(kianwee @ Aug 18 2006, 04:37 PM) a black interior looks WAAAAAYYY cooler than the normal silver/grey interior man... its highly recommended for UVed rigs as the effect will be even better with the black/dark background.but then as ive been saying quite alot in this forum lately... one man's fun is another's hell |

Why not try spray painting UV reactive paint as well inside but then as ive been saying quite alot in this forum lately... one man's fun is another's hell A definite eye popper! |

naah.....UV paint will glow too bright and kill off the rest of the UV effect. the thing about UV is highlights.... meaning some here n there... not EVERYTHING

Perhaps, one can try a full black PCB for motherboard, GC, black heatspreader on rams, sleeve the PSU black and spray paint the PSU black, then spray the entire casing UV reactive.
Wonder how the effects will be. |

Dropped UV from my plan although i still have a couple of new UV fans n CCFLs in my boxes... i think the problem with the interior will be sanding the layer of paint before re-spraying... with all those bends and curves here n there..

A black interior can be very nice indeed, just be aware that if your paint job is not thick enough and you accidentally scratch something (on the visible part of the casing) when installing your components, you may ended with an ugly looking scratch that is quite visible.
I suggest using either several paint coats or automotive paint, which tends to be more scratch resistant than paint from a spray can. I did a case mod once with a metallic black interior (automotive paint) and it still looks awesome today despite the casing having gathered dust over the years. |
