Im a totally newbie on this kind of thing...all i know is gaming, so help me out on this please icon_question.gif

Have this shitty desktop at home:

Processor : Intel® Core™ i3-2120 CPU @ 3.30GHz (4CPUs), ~3.3GHz
Memory : 4096MB RAM
Motherboard : Gigabyte H61M-S2-B3
GPU : ASUS EAH5450 Series
PSU : No idea so i took a photo of it
Case : Black plastic case
OS : Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600)

Is it possible to upgrade it to be able to play DOTA 2 on highest setting?

Is it just upgrading my graphic card will do??

Thanks in advance notworthy.gif

Basicly you system have fulfill the minimum system requirement for dota 2,but if you wan highest settings in dota 2 you must upgrade you proccessor to i5 or i7 4th and also your graphic cards

I'm not sifu or anything, but I can say your desktop is still ok for DotA 2 (the proc. at least).

Yes, you need to upgrade your GC card. But I'm a bit concern on the power supply if you are to upgrade your GC card.

If I'm not mistaken, DotA 2 is not really a GPU intensive game.

A HD7750 should do the trick (I'm assuming you're gaming on a 1600x900 monitor).

Then it's ok, even my younger brother can still game on my old desktop which only had a Core2Duo E6300  smile.gif

HD7750 cost around RM300, should fit your budget.

Oh, do take note of your desktop chassis though. You need to make sure the GC card can be fit inside.

Don't need to change Processor as Dota 2 requirements on the processor isn't high. If you want to max out graphic get a new graphic card and a reliable PSU e:g FSP Hexa 500w RM 149.

What's the budget for both PSU and GPU? Mind telling?

initially rm400..bt i guess i hav to dig my pocket a lil bit further since u r suggesting on upgrading the PSU

I'm running a GTX 580.. maxed DOTA @ 1080p with everything enabled nod.gif .. steady 120 frames most of the time.. nod.gif

it should be equivalent to a GTX750/760 depending on games..
