If want lose weight only then exercise for what? Just eat less lar done.

joined. but dun like the hassle have to stuck in the jam, looking for parking, and lastly, go n pick up car at car park alone. freaking scare now. heard all kinds of robbery etc happened at car park. so decided to stay home since i have some of the equipment. ;D

to loose weight and look pale and feel lethargy in the morning like vampire, eat lesser, or much more lesser.
to loose weight and healthy + have some body tone, eat lesser + exercise.

which i choose 2nd opt. smile.gif

+ some people doesnt loose weight just by depending on eating lesser.

currently i'm doing on my own too with friends' guidance. quite challenging.

ya, eating less only won't change much if you don't build muscles with exercises too. better to do both. can lose weight faster.

No summary, no TLDR version. If you are lazy to even read, then no reason for anyone to help you. You can be fat forever.

To girls out there who thinks of lifting light weights to 'tone' muscles, it is not going to work. Those pinky dumbbells will not give you any effect besides he sore build up due to acid lactic. You can curl till your face turns blue or the chickens come home, but you will not build any muscles or 'tone' up.

You do not want to build muscles but want to strengthen your existing? If there is no load greater than what you can handle now, how can a muscle strengthen? Muscles adapt because there is outside force, forcing it to be stronger and hence producing more fibre to strengthen it. In another word more 'padat'. In lifting, it is either go heavy or go home.

Oh, and no matter how much a girl wants to build muscles like Arnold, she can never be big like him, or big to start with. It is because of the lack of testosterone in women. So no, no matter how hard or how heavy you lift, you will not be shehulk. What you will get max is what looks like Jamie Eason if you go natural (no testosterone injection or hormone alteration or drugs). She worked very hard, lift very heavy and eat very right to get there. So lifting heavy will not make you look big.

Oh ya. Another hard cold truth is that there is no such thing as spot reduction. Those sit ups, crunches, leg clamps, will not make you loose fats at that specific area. Fat loss goes by total whole body and there is no way you can dictate which part of fats to go first. Now eat that.

Loosing weight has lots of wrong perception. You will want to loose fats and not loose muscles. Cut a leg you loose weight. Water diet makes you loose weight. Not eating makes you loose weight. Not drinking water makes you loose weight. What you want to do is loose fat, not weight alone.

What you do is, monitor and write down what you eat for a month. Cut food intake by 20% to start. When calorie in is lower than calorie out, you loose fats. But you will not want to cut down the food too low. It will have great results in a short period but it will hurt you very soon. Body will recognise that you constantly don't get enough food, it will adapt by slowing down the metabolisme so that you survive. You will hit plateau very soon. Read up on nutrition which tells you what to eat when to eat.

So eat away, lift heavy, and do some HIIT. Lift 3 days a week, 2 days HIIT. You will see great results in months to come.
