-Performance - If you want pickup, go for almera...i believed(I test drive both before) and i own Preve Exec now Almera is better in stop to go condition due to the weight and different segment of car.

- FC - Power to weight ratio - Almera is better....but if u are always on highway, go for preve....CVT will never disappointed you...manage to get 6.4L/100KM with avg speed of 110km/h

Aftersales - No comment...Proton do have good SC dealer (Such as apple auto Sri Kembangan, Setapak SC) so it depends on the SC.

Long term usage - It depends on how u treat your car. I believed it is all depends on user. Proton Not kereta Cacat. Can drive and save money too

Safety - VERY IMPORTANT IN MALAYSIA NOWADAYS. PREVE BEST!!!!!! Almera E even ABS pun tarak. Like buying saga SV (36k) but everything same. We called it as kosong Tin. Preve Ancap come with 6 airbag, TC, ABS with EBD, VSA/ESC.

Handling and stability - Preve can hit corner with certainly high speed. I doubt that stock almera can do the same thing 

The most major problem for preve - Wire harness issue(Solved in new batch of preve). Other than that, all those is minor issue that can be settled within a day, and will not affect your daily usage.

NVH - No doubt, proton engine is quite loud. And CVT transmission give high frequency whinning sound.

preve exec does feel "heavy" less pickup but i'm fine with it. can't afford turbo cfe and trying my best not to drive above 120km/h. my wife is using almera full spec. comparing to preve, almera really feels light but fc is better. after 4 months using preve exec i'm starting to get used to the heavy & less pickup thing and now enjoying driving it every moment. i always remind myself... this is the amount of money i have for a car... if my salary is 5 figures sure i'll go for a much better car

yes, proton car does have those small problems here and there. some proton service centers also useless. again, nissan service centers are much better.

my wife's almera is 18 months old... but already:
- claimed bearing from nissan when it was 6 months old
- claimed reverse camera faulty
- door visor and bodykits loose
- push start button not functioning and was towed back to nissan on 2nd day of hari raya puasa
- battery KO
- side mirror indicator light won't off
- last week nissan sent dvd player/gps touch screen back for warranty 

guess my wife just don't have the luck with her almera. my advice, go test drive and pick the one you like most

i drive CFE.. power is always good.. handling is a point for proton car.. last tuesday i drive 150-160km/h from penang to UUM for my convocation.. my parents no feeling that i drive super fast.. they thought i drive 110~120km/h only.. it's mean really stable and good handling in preve.. (I drive fast coz i missed a thing at home, return back to home in halfway, and depart again)

normally i didnt drive fast on the road.. mostly 90~110km/h in highway only.. i buy preve due to safety features.. for the fuel consumption, i not so care about it.. but i heard preve exec not so powerful due to heavy weight in preve (better handling, bad FC)

almera and preve also is good car.. most important u and your family like it.. i suggest go test drive both of it.. if u consider almera E specs then u may upgrade a little bit in proton preve premium specs.. Turbo, push start, cruise, auto headlamp, auto rain sensor, paddle shift..

go test drive, discuss with family and decide..

Not sure if you are looking at the low-spec Preve or the high-spec Preve Turbo.

Almera is good for city drive and more fuel efficient than Preve Turbo but in comparison the Almera is underpowered on some difficult stretches on the roads. The Preve Turbo will be much more powerful than the ALmera. If you are familiar with the stretch along the North South highway from KL to Ipoh, just before the Teluk Pulai exit there is a steep gradient where the speed is limited to 80km/h up the slope. One of our colleague's Almera struggled hard as the 1.5-litre engine seems to be running out of steam when going up the stretch. You will just glide through the stretch with the PReve Turbo.

Nissan's vehicles are rather poor in handling and power, especially the Almera. The Sylphy is much better than Almera but the current "downgraded" 1.8-litre Sylphy may not match the Preve Turbo in power.

However, if you want quiet and refined drive the Almera will be better than the PReve Turbo. The Preve's engine and CVT are indeed a bit noisy.

oh..never test drive Iriz yet, so i don't know.
but the poster last time asked for opinion since he's going to buy Iriz, so was wondering why suddenly change

u tested Iriz Premium? The keyless entry is similar to City right? No need to push any button and the door will unlock itself just by moving your hand on the handle?

Iriz premium offer more things. Leather seat, USB charger, reverse camera. While preve premium need extra install third party.

Recently I just installed mine reverse camera. Really saw ntg behind with my preve.

1. yes. sure will block part of it. not recommended.

2. i just installed recently, rm250.. direct mirror on preve premium HU. no wire cut.. no warranty void.. plug it and view it.. since HU support reverse camera, plug in a socket, plug the camera, then thats all. Make a hole for camera.

3. 16inch will be enough.

im penang mainland ppl..install at Bukit mertajam.. epsilon camera. 170 angle. good lens and view..

interest rate is based on personal income, epf statement and any related supporting documents.. different banks just slightly different 0.05~0.1% only.. not much different one. if young, epf only few months, then interest sure high.. those get low rate probably is got stable income for previous few years..

example, if u got guarantor with stable income, then probably will reduce 0.1%..

I agree the interest rate based on your salary, commitment and many. (bank officer told me).
