Hi to all,

I wish to buy the Proton Preve 1.6 Executive CVT. The brochure stated it comes with 2 curtain airbags but the "Pricing & Specs" of Proton Edar website stated curtain airbags are not included. I am not sure which one is correct and would like to double check.

Thanks

Dear all sifus,

I will be getting my Preve Exec next week. The chassis number is xx0544xx and the VOC date is 29.8.2014. Are these normal?

is the 3 years free service plus rm5k discount promo still valid?
*
Yes discount 5k for both premium and executive plus 3 years free service. I just got it for the executive cvt which I bought in this month. You may get higher discount if you buy the car from the dealers.

Thanks for your info. Yes the portable GPS is already not been mentioned in the 2014 brochure.

I have not received the car yet. Going to sign the loan agreement today and the delivery of the car is expected on Wednesday. I'll make a sharing on this forum after I got the car.

My SA told me I can collect my Preve Executive this evening. It was a long waiting after 4 weeks.

I am considering to send the car to Puchong SC for the 1k service since it is near to my house. Do you have any comment about this SC?

To all current and future Preve owners,

I got my elegance brown executive cvt yesterday. So far, after driving 92 km, I am quite satisfy with the car. The initial observation is the car is quite stable and comfortable except the loud noises when I went up hill.

Here I wish to share a few thoughts with the current and future Preve owners.

1) I was looking for a C-segment car for my family balik kampung trips since 3 months ago. The comfort and safety are the important criteria because the lives of my family is in my hand and I need to ensure their safety. After comparing many C-segment cars including Honda Civic 2.0 S, Toyota Altis 2.0 (with additional safety features), Nissan Sylphy and Peugeot 408 S. I ended up buying Preve exec CVT because it is the cheapest car with all the features I wanted. In fact Preve Exec CVT (55k) is only about half price compared to some C-segment Japanese and Continental cars. Since we can get a car we wanted with less, why we should pay more, right?

2) The info in this forum - Proton Preve thread has help me to build some confident in Proton Preve. Initial I was skeptical on the reliability, but after reading through this forum I found that most users didn't have major issue with the car although there are many less critical quality issues such as noises. To be more specifically, I didn't hear many Preve cars breakdown at the road side and need to be towed back to the SC (pls let me know if you did) whereas this happened quite frequently at certain continental cars (my own findings with several existing users).

I got my car in Nov 2014. The SA told me from this month onward Proton giving additional 2k discount (total 5k) to Preve Exec and there will be no more Yes 4G. Curious if anyone still got Yes 4G in this month?

Hi all,

I did my 1k service using full synthetic oil last Saturday. The FC now is 9.5, higher than 9.2 before service. Is this normal?

That looks normal, mine was better FC, but after that somehow more and more FC after..haha
Which fully syn EO that you used?
*
I used Shell Helix Ultra as recommended by SC.

I got better FC now after using Caltex RON97. This morning it was 6.6 l/100km from Puchong to Kajang.
