perhaps your SA did not know the details
for syn 800, it need to be changed after 5000 KM.

5000 intervals are optional

it depends on what engine oil being used during 1k service
for my preve, the syn 800 oil already very dark and thick when it comes to 5k KM, obviously it needs to be changed

I am using syn 1000, should i change it when 5k KM come?? Some say new engine should change engine oil more frequent to prolong the engine lifespan.

i am not sure about syn 1000's lifespan, please consult your SC.

i did asked few SAs with different branch around my area before, and the answer just the same --- 10K  hmm.gif

My SC says syn 800 service every 5k KM
and for my preve, 5k KM the car performance already low, engine choking up, and can observe the oil very thick and dirty.

anyway, save money or save the engine, its your call.

Thx.  I think I better get it change after 5k since most of the sifu here just give a same advice ... One more thing did anyone of you notice when u place you gear at P or N the rpm is even clock higher compared to D mode while car not moving. That mean I will b save bit fuel at mode D at traffic lights. Am I right? Thx again
*
yes, sure higher RPM for N
and peoples also recommend stick to D if you waiting for short time such as at traffic light, as frequent change from N or P to D wear out the gear box.
