Like to know who are using car colour video camera recorder (on the front). Thinking of getting one. Appreciate feedback from those who are using one (brand, good and bad, price, etc).

Thanks.

I bought during promotion, RM 699. Normal price should be RM799 if not mistaken.

Thanks.

Look very high tech and good quality, better than the RM50-100 cameras one can get from China.

Noted that it runs on 12 V. I thought there is a 6V socket in Preve. How do you then hook up this camera?

Thanks.

Not an issue with the voltage, just plug and play.

Don't be silly. Fuel consumption is not just based on RPM but also on load. When gear engaged, there's additional load to engine which the injectors have to fuel more to the engine. Otherwise the engine would have just stalled.

Same theory, if load is 0 at 2000 RPM (example), it uses no fuel. This situation is when we are coasting.

Thx.. You sound pro n I shouldn't just refer to RPM only instead... Having to say after getting feedback from you guy regardless N, P or D is just the same... Not much fuel saved but D mode is much better to our gear box sound like... Thx again Sifus notworthy.gif

I thought my mind was playing tricks on me when I compared Shell & Petronas petrol. Petronas petrol gave about 10% more mileage than Shell.

With your comparison, maybe there is some truth in what I saw before.
*
Serious? Petronas give more mileage? I'm using Caltex 95 since day one n only able clocked the best milage around 50km per bar with very very light foot... At city drive 80%

Since day one collecting my new toy... SA advise me not to choice Petron n Petronas as both sound dirty.... So I just give n take this advice tongue.gif

Actually fuel consumption will be higher at D. Clutch wear rate also higher with excessive D mode use.

Oh my.. Thx but I bit confuse now with the early advice quoted by LoanDoctor where frequent change N or P to D will wear n tear more on gear box... So am I misunderstanding any here...? D or N better for gear box while waiting traffic light?

You will have to judge how long you're going to be idling in traffic light. If it's long, put to N. Both has their own wear.

I can't say for sure, but I always put to N. Otherwise I cannot get the fuel economy I'm currently having.

Hi, my preve experience 2 known issue.

1. Helicopter brake sound, does it safe? could I continuous drive on highway until 1k service? While book appointment, need to let them know first?
For this issue, I know could let SC to check or replace disc brake.
2. Third brake light vibrate sound, it's quite significant while the road is not smooth.
For this issue, I know is one of the known issue of Preve, but didn't found any solution? Any one got idea? SC could solve it?

Thanks a lot.

By the way, just sharing my owning experience of Preve Manual EXEC for past 1 week.

Manual Transmission
The manual transmission is quite class, I like the feel while switching gear. But the only downside is 1st gear acceleration seem quite slow maybe due to the heavy body. The engine roaring sound is there, but quite acceptable for me.
Suspension
It's consider a hard type suspension, similliar to Civic type but not altis/camry those soft type. So depends on your preference, for me I'm quite enjoy driving Preve, from 100KM/H you can notice a little wind sound and tire sound, while 110KM/H, the engine still maintains in 2.5k RPM so the roaring sound is not there. Got to highlight for the handling, 110KM/H is really stable in Preve.

Erm... act I'm not driving my preve daily so will update more again especially for Manual transmission.

Please correct me if anything wrong.
THanks.

For the 3rd brake light, u have to use those foam type double sided tape to stick the metal part to the plastic part.....
