But i need to clarify one thing,

Im facing reverse difficulties as in when i try to reverse, it seems like you really have to press down the paddle quite a lot before the car start reversing. I must say its actually not steep at all!  sad.gif

Is this normal or i should bring this up to SC?
***
Im in D mode, going down the hill, my RPM went up and dragg my car.
I have to brake the car halfway and all the way down the hill??

I dont think putting N mode downhill is a good idea. @.@"

Thanks Sifus in advance!  notworthy.gif

Both are normal characteristics of CVT transmission, although the 'delay' time varies from car to car.

Do not put into N mode whenever your car is moving! It's very dangerous. Your RPM went up due to engine braking which it is designed for that purpose.

Feel that 4 days old Preve gives a solid landing over a road hump when travelling at about 10 kph.

Disappointing when I expected a much better suspension/adsorber with their Lotus technology! Ha.

Hope with use, the suspension/adsorber will give a softer landing!

Cheerio.

The stiffness is traded with the stability when driving. The car doesn't wobble as much as those with 'comfortable' suspension.

Rotate tyres at 20km, doesn't mean at 40km the tyres are busted.

At 40km millage, both the front and rear tyres wear and tear condition would be at equal. By 60km, the front tyres (the-then rear tyres) condition would be worse than the rear tyres (the-then front tyres). At 80km the wear and tear conditions would be the same again.

Generally today's tyres can last for longer than three 3-4 years.

changing your EO?!

It's already widely known, but many, while not legally obligated to follow, would worry about the warranty dispute should you go against the car manufacturer's 'recommendation'.

Don't know whether it is just me having this "problem".

Feel that when I want to slow down by pressing on the brake pedal, I tend to over do it though my foot on the pedal is light. When I take my foot off the pedal, it speeds up and I have to put my foot on the brake again. This makes the ride not as smooth as I want it.

I did not have that problem with my old Wira. Possible to adjust the brake (say by 5-10%) to reduce its "sensitivity"?

Anyone with similar experience?

Thanks.

If I'm not mistaken that's the turbo lag effect.

Yeah, typical Malaysians problem. If the problem didn't show up when you brought the car to SC, you are just lying or being nitpicking, this even applies to luxury cars SCs.

Only a handful of mechanics would go to extra length to identify the problem with you, luckily the one at my frequent SC are helpful.

Thx Terryble. Sorry I'm poor in disgusting your inputs here.  If you dun mind pls educate me again as the person share this video is saying without slot in his key/remote it can b just start the engine as usual. My doubt here what if I forgot to lock my car and someone just walk in n start the engine then drive away. Thx again  thumbup.gif

They won't be able to as the car cannot detect the key, or rather the transponder inside the key.

Well, they normally can't, a fully prepared and equipped thief can still steal your car anyway.

page 165 " Proton recommends that you rotate your tyres approximately every 20,000 km."
==> I assume that at around 40,000 km, replace all 4 tyres with new ones. Right? Of course, replace the ones with high worn out on the threads earlier if needed.
*
Errr no, rotate your front tyres to back, and your rear tyres to the front. Tyres can normally last well above 3-4 years before it needs changing (depend on the condition).

If we go by your assumption, we need to buy new set of tyres every year.

Lol at least put up some pictures of both front and rear tyres.

But the safest bet is of course to buy a new set of tyres.

Check below the handle (driver side), under the key symbol. There's a latch for you to insert the key and dislodge the cover to reveal the lock.

Yeah, they need to choose the quality of the interior materials better. Not to mention that while it's not that easy to get scratched, but it does get scratched. It's better to apply protective sealant to the interior once in a while.
