I get my preve last year and  no prob with the car..

My Suprima S also have this helicopter sound when braking. I go to nearest SC, but they advise I go make an appointment at Proton HQ because my odo still below 500km. They suspect its 2013 unit and store so long and make the brake disc/brake pad 'karat' or rosak. Since now is peak week for hari raya servicing, I only will go after raya.

But the handling so far so good. Doing 120km/h (not dare to drive more than this scare brake disk malfunction). Just braking slowly and accept the ratatattatatataatatata sound.

Rattling sound when full throttle from 0-15 is still there however.. But i do understand, can be solved by changing the engine mounting. Even i drive BMW oso got rattle, why nobody complaint? but no helicopter sound.. tried this by hard braking from 200km/h..

i'm not sure. go a few SC last monday since I on leave that day.

1st SC : After checking, they suspect brake disk/brake pad problem. But advise me to go to Shah Alam because my ODO below 400km

2nd SC (Shah Alam HQ) : Need to make an appointment since its a peak time for servicing (Hari Raya). Earliest is Wednesday (But I can't go since got urgent meeting).

3rd SC (Glenmarie) : Need to make an appointment. Earliest is next Tuesday.

4th SC (shah alam, Random SC i use GPS) : Not even checking my car. When I say got helicopter sound, they advise go to SC HQ. They mention its a claim problem and the stock is not ready.
Well, I decide to go back, and wait after hari raya only make an appointment at HQ. The receptionist at SC HQ did mention, small SC never want to take the responsibilities. Ayat dia lebih kurang macam ni. "Buat apa kami lantik dia jadi SC kami kalau diorang tak nak ambil kes?" There is no such thing as below 500km, must go SC HQ.   

Too bad all authorized SCs. Just call in Jln Pahang Proton Edar SC, they say can come check 1st, but can't guarantee can finish the job by next week since Raya Holiday is near. I don't mind since Im not using that car for long distance also.

But from my colleague experience, Jln Pahang SC doing a good job. front brake disc replacement only take half day.

Yes, should be that. Its the same right? 3C = Proton Edar SC?

mine CVT 2014 unit, no any belicopter braking sound but heard one of my friend 2013 suprima s he had changed front disc brake with SC and now gt helicopter sound. I guess 2014 unit should be ok. *touchwood*

at 90kmh when apply break have like helicopter sound.
this is cos by the disk not totally flat.
they will measure the surface for bumps and indentation, if out of spec they will replace the disk there and then FOC.

it depends on what engine oil being used during 1k service
for my preve, the syn 800 oil already very dark and thick when it comes to 5k KM, obviously it needs to be changed

Hi, my preve experience 2 known issue.

1. Helicopter brake sound, does it safe? could I continuous drive on highway until 1k service? While book appointment, need to let them know first?
For this issue, I know could let SC to check or replace disc brake.
2. Third brake light vibrate sound, it's quite significant while the road is not smooth.
For this issue, I know is one of the known issue of Preve, but didn't found any solution? Any one got idea? SC could solve it?

By the way, just sharing my owning experience of Preve Manual EXEC for past 1 week.

Manual Transmission
The manual transmission is quite class, I like the feel while switching gear. But the only downside is 1st gear acceleration seem quite slow maybe due to the heavy body. The engine roaring sound is there, but quite acceptable for me.
Suspension
It's consider a hard type suspension, similliar to Civic type but not altis/camry those soft type. So depends on your preference, for me I'm quite enjoy driving Preve, from 100KM/H you can notice a little wind sound and tire sound, while 110KM/H, the engine still maintains in 2.5k RPM so the roaring sound is not there. Got to highlight for the handling, 110KM/H is really stable in Preve.

Erm... act I'm not driving my preve daily so will update more again especially for Manual transmission.

Helicopter sound as usual.. 

Thanks for the feedback. In my case the sound is coming from inside the seat itself and not the connection at the bottom of the seat. On top of that, I can feel something inside the cushion of the seat behind my back when I move or rub my back against the seat, as if there is some air pockets inside the seat. It is not a nice feeling.

Try pressing your back against the seat. With your hands on the steering, try pressing your back against the seat, then move your back away from the seat, then press your back against the seat again. See if you get any sound. I get the sound every time I press my back against the seat. In that sense I am quite sure the sound is from the seat and not at the connection point at the leg joints of the seat.

Anyway, I'll go complain soon. The only problem is to waste one day leave just to get to the service centre, and currently I have a lot of work in the office.

2nd day driving my preve exec. all my relative asking "boleh bawak ke ni?" as the car quite high and long. while im short and fat     
but seriously, interior is nice 
so huge, both in front and back seat. my lil sis and bro said "the gap between driver seat and back seat quite huge, ppl can still sit in the floor" 
trunk also can fit people into it

Alarm Lock and Unlock no sound, only have lamp flash. is that normal ?

At driver seat the windows glass console, when i press driver seat windows up something push up the console abit, when press down it back to normal position.

May i go SC tomorrow to fix it ? any good SC to recommend ? i live around batu caves.
